What is a good way to make a Taco Salad?

Taco Salad:

10-12 servings

1 head iceberg lettuce
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 lbs ground beef
1 package taco seasoning
2 tomatoes
1 onion
1 bag plain Doritos
1 (16 ounce) bottle Catalina dressing

1. Brown ground beef and taco seasoning.
2. Drain and let cool.
3. Chop lettuce, tomatoes, and onions.
4. Put into a large container.
5. Add cheese and crushed Doritos.
6. Add cooled ground beef.
7. Pour Catalina dressing over all of it 5 to 10 minutes before serving.

Brown ground meat using powder taco seasoning or you can use blackened grilled chicken. To make a good taco salad mix together:

Lettuce
tortilla chips or dorittoes (crushed)
fresh tomato diced or pico
seasoned beef or chicken
jack cheddar cheese
a little sour cream and a little guacamole
for dressing use ranch mixed with salsa

Taco Salad for One

2 cups iceburg lettuce
4 oz ground beef
1/4 cup picante sauce
3 T diced yellow onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 ripe tomato
1 T sliced olives
1/4 cup crushed corn chips
3 T shredded jack cheese
3 T Spicy Ranch Dressing
Avocado optional

Saute ground beef with onion and garlic. Add picante sauce and simmer. Put lettuce in bowl and top with meat mixture. Top with cheese, tomato, olives, corn chips and dressing. YUM!

if you are talking about portability i got this idea off of fixing dinner. she took the meat in a little container, mixed the cheese, and lettuce and stuff together and added a bag of nacho chips and then they could heat the meat crunch up the chips and add the salad to the bag of chips. voila portable taco salad. or in a wrap is good too

TACO SALAD

1 lb. ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning mix
1 head of lettuce, cut in long lengthwise strips
3-4 sliced scallions
3-4 diced fresh tomatoes
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup corn chips
fat free Catalina salad dressing
tortilla bowls (optional)

Brown ground beef in a skillet, drain fat, add taco seasoning mix and prepare as directed on package. Set aside.
In a large salad bowl combine: cut lettuce, sliced scallions, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, seasoned ground beef, corn chips, and salad dressing.

Toss gently and serve immediately in tortilla bowls (optional)

kidney beans

Brown ground beef and onion together until beef is cooked.

Add together with rest of ingredients.

1/2 chopped onion
1 package rice-a-roni(beef flavor)
2 cups taco sauce
10 individual crisp tortilla shells or chips
shredded lettuce
shredded cheese
chopped tomato
in skillet brown beef and onion.set aside. prepare rice-a-roni stir in beef and taco sauce. continue cooking over low heat 3-4 mins or until heated though. place lettuce in bottom of tortilla shell or over chips.divide rice evenly among shells.top with cheese and tomato.serve with extra sauce if needed.
