Sounds weird but I've been trying to drink more water lately and often, after I've just had a bottle or large glass of it, my throat gets dry and I feel even more thirsty than before. Does this happen to anyone else? What could be an explanation?

I have a recipe that requires all ingredients to be room temperature, the cream cheese, the butter, and the eggs. I set them out at 7am this morning, it's 10am now, the cream cheese and eggs feel about room temperature but the butter is still hard as a rock. How long does it take to reach room temperature? I'm pinched for time because this recipe is a cake that takes all day to make.

My brother-in-law and his fiance are coming over for dinner tonight. It was a last minute decision and I didn't stock up on groceries. I am not making an effort to run outside (it's snowing in NY) and pick up some extra stuff. I have three fair sized boneless chicken breast and there will be the 4 of us. What dishes can I make that require cutting up chicken in small pieces so that it can make 4 dishes for all of us. I am thinking of a casserole but that doesn't include one too many ingredients (remember I did not go shopping). I was thinking perhaps with rice, pasta or maybe even stove-top. Ideas, suggestions and full recipes are greatly appreciated. THNX!

There are 2 reasons why I ask. (1) I have noticed that many items have very short sell/use-by dates, often only 2-3 days maximum.

(2) My parents have an allotment. The onions they picked last year are still fine and perfectly edible. However, some of the supermarket onions that I purchased last week (before I was able to get some more stock from my parents!) are already going soft and rotten!

My husband does not like veggies. He will only eat corn on the cob and potatos , and he'll eat some fruits, but I need some dinner recipes. He likes beef, chicken, and fish and he likes pastas. He also likes pizza and foods like hot pockets with pizza inside.

What a superb brew Guinness is, it's a pity it's not just a wee bit cheaper, though.

dehydrate you like alcohol does? Coffee is like beer to me, when I have one glass I have to pee about 10 times.
