In case you need to know, the ingredients are:
cake flour
1 pound of butter
6 eggs
lemon extract
lots of sugar!

Oops! On the ingredients list I forgot the cream cheese!

You left out the "cream cheese" according to the recipe you have posted! If you did add it then I would say you're using a "cheap" brand to which you should be using Philadelphia brand or you did not incorporate your ingredients well enough before baking!

I agree it might have not been mixed well but- consider your oven as well. It sounds like the edges of your loaf cooked too quickly while the liquid settled into the center.

Make sure your oven is preheated, make sure the pan is in the center, on the middle rack.

Shake the pan before cooking to settle it evenly. Good luck!

Hard to say for sure, but it sounds like there is too much butter in the recipe and some of it has surfaced to the top creating the greasy spot.
