What a superb brew Guinness is, it's a pity it's not just a wee bit cheaper, though.

It has to be said that Guinness is blander than it used to be. It is also grossly overpriced. Because the stuff has been pasteurised and pressurised with nitrogen gas it can never equal in quality or taste a proper cask-conditioned draught stout or porter. Such beers are rare, but they are brewed by a number of small breweries. They can often be found in Wetherspoons pubs. Once you have tasted a proper draught stout you won't want to go back to Guinness. Just don't go looking for such a beer in Ireland - Guinness have got the market stitched up.

I had Guinness every day when I was recently in Ireland and it was great. It tastes much better there than in the US and the bartenders know how to pour a proper pint. In the US, I've never seen a bartender wait for the beer to settle before topping it off. As a result, in the US, you will get overcharged and the top 1/3rd of the glass will be head. In Ireland, they fill the glass completely and the head is stays on top, outside of the glass. Overall still delicious though!!

I love it and did you know it contains almost all the vitamins we need to survive, only trouble is you have to drink around 45 pints a day to be able to live on Guinness alone, I'm celebrating St Patricks day tomorrow in an Irish pub that's got a live Irish band to tap along to in Scarborough! and plenty of the black pint will be drunk MMMMMMM Lovely

My previous coach used to function Guinness to particular horse's feeds at cases for the justifications that have been defined via Gallop.
