Coca cola has caffeine in it and does give you a lift. I am surprised you did not get headaches from stopping too. Consider yourself lucky you didn't. The headaches are hard to deal with when cutting back on caffeinated beverages. The best I can tell you is eat a balanced diet get enough rest and exercise will help your energy level too. You should be proud of yourself for eliminating the pop from your diet. It is not good for your teeth either. Good Job!!

Yes, Coca Cola contains quite a bit of caffeine. Even though
caffeine is considered a stimulant, the effect doesn't last long,
and once you've "peaked out", you crash deeper than before you drank it. The sugar content has a lot to do with it,too. Sugar has pretty much the same effect. Basically, you're addicted to the caffeine and the sugar and your body is reacting to that. If you hang in there and replace
it with healthier drinks, you'll feel better in the long run.
You might also be interested in knowing that coca cola is very bad on the teeth; it is very acidic and eats the enamel off
the teeth.

Yes, you are likely used to the caffeine and/or sugar rush that comes with soft drinks. Maybe instead of quiting cold turkey, you could limit yourself to 2 cokes per day, then 1 per day and then gradually get yourself to zero indefinitely.
Also, for a more healthy alternative, you could go with either green or black tea. Either would be far better for you, even with a spoonful of sugar or honey. As an added benefit, you'll get antioxidants and some caffeine, though not as much as what coke provided.

soda pop contains caffeine and sugar. Caffeine is an ingredient that can give lots of hyperactivity but for a certain amount of hours. Sugar is going to give you energy for a short while. If you consume fruits your energy will last longer and will help you feel up and going. Don't consume them in excess because the excess sugar in the fruits can store as fat in your body. Check out a food pyramid for portions.

Coke contains two stimulants that offset tiredness. People enjoy Coke in part because of the "boost" they get from the sugar and caffeine. It is possible that your body is used to getting Coke and you feel tired because you aren't getting it.
