To be honest you buy this in the store.Purchase a bottle of Italian salad dressing and marinade over night.I use a ziplock bag and Boneless chicken. If pan cooking you can use the marinade as a cooking base.Add water as needed and let simmer on low heat until done.I have also used French dressings and others !!!

Soy sauce (like for Chinese cooking) and good old fashioned honey!
Mix the two and put the chicken in a container with the marinade overnight, or for a few hours.
Voila!

Chicken Marinade
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
3/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
1/3 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons finely minced fresh parsley
DIRECTIONS
In a medium bowl, mix together oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, wine vinegar, and lemon juice. Stir in mustard powder, salt, pepper, and parsley. Use to marinate chicken before cooking as desired. The longer you marinate, the more flavor it will have.

not really a marinade, but you can let this sit for 15-30 minutes prior to cooking to let it soak in a bit.
1/3 cup Dijon or stone ground mustard
1 tsp salt (kosher or sea salt, never iodized)
1/2 tsp ground pepper (fresh if you've got it)
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp poultry seasoning
or if you have them on hand, fresh herbs to make
3 tbsp chopped finely (like rosemary, sage, thyme
parsley, oregano)
olive oil
mix all the ingredients, adding enough olive oil to bring to a spreadable consistency. rub all over chicken. you can toss straight onto the grill, or let sit for a while before cooking. works for roasting or grilling methods.
