my mom said stores & restaurants dip all produce they get into this dissolved into liquid granule stuff called stay fresh. What's it made out of and why does whatever it is keep the produce so fresh? Can it possibly harm anything? Thanks so much

I just read a food lable for a bag of crushed nuts ( topping for mc donnalds sunday ) It saied
INGREDIENTS: Peanuts, dry roasted. Allergen information: may contain nuts.

.... is could say for sure contains nuts whats with the may contain nuts.
Maybe its standard languadge for Allergan information but it still tickles me a little.

I always have trouble with the side dishes. I ordered a Quasadilla, and on the side I have Gaucamole & Sour Cream on top of Shredded Cheese and Lettuce. I assume the Guacamole & Sour Cream is topping for my Quasadilla, but what is the Lettuce for? That would make for a very dry Salad. So, is the Guacamole & Sour Cream actually Dressing for my Salad? Or do I add everything to the Quasadilla, like when I order Tacos? I am always confused with the side dishes. I don't know if I use it to build my food, or if I use them as side dishes??

Back in the 60's, there was a recipe on the ceral box for cookies using only semi-sweet choc. and butterscotch morsels and peanut butter and the rice krispies. Nothing else. No sugar or corn syrup or butter etc. Would anyone out there have that recipe? I can't remember what ratio to use for the ingredients.I don't want other recipes, just this one please. Thank you.
