OMG people drinking a GLASS of wine a day is good, red wine is the better of the two, but no drinking a whole bottle of wine a day makes you a bit of a lush, and its not good for you.

In some parts of the world, twelve year old children drink a bottle of wine a day.

If you weigh 500 lbs and drink it over 18 hours, ok maybe. If you weigh 175 lbs and drink a bottle per day you'll end up with cirrhosis of the liver probably. Guess you need to make a decision, either eat a lot more and weigh too much (dying of heart attack) so you can drink a bottle per day and maybe not have cirrhosis of the liver or you can drink 6 oz per day of wine before or with dinner and enjoy a healthy happy life. You decide, it's your life!!

I can't believe people have actually responded with this is bad for you.
Absolutely Not. Wine is great for your heart, and one bottle does not have enough sugars, carbs, calories, or fats to harm the daily pyramid.
The one and only problem I would see, is if you drink it REALLY FAST and near the end of the day. Then you got to start worrying about the hangovers...

It would be nice if it wasn't bad for you (red wine - yum). Unfortunately I think drinking a bottle a day is not the best.

One glass of red wine a day is proven to be good for your heart. Guys (or large women) are probably cool for two.
A whole bottle? That would be hell on your liver, my friend. Especially if you are downing cheap stuff like MD 20/20. You want proof? Go seek out your local Underpass Pete boozin' it up on cheap wine covered in a brown paper bag. See how the whites of his eyes are nasty and yellowish? That's what a bottle of wine a day will do to you.
Slack off, man.
Edited to Add:
In response to Bensalem Stangler's question about MD 20/20 being considered wine: it is. Just a cheap "twist-cap wine," usually drank by winos. Hence the name wino. Here's a source for ya: http://www.bumwine.com/md2020.html
And I'm addressing this LONG TERM, people. Drinking a bottle in one night by yourself on a single occasion isn't going to do anything other than make you feel foul in the morning. I know this; everyone knows this. But I was to understand this inquiry was about downing a bottle regularly by yourself in a single night. Which is bad for you.
Moderation: healthy.
Binging: unhealthy.
Just thought I needed to clarify.

For wussie Americans ,yes, most of the rest of the Western world doesnt seem to have a problem with it.
(750ml at 13% avg alc?-gimmie a break)
BTW- for those tea-tottlers- better stop eating meat, taking meds, using painkillers, taking niacin and certain other vitamins/minerals, and drinking coffee/cafeen cause they are all also bad for your liver
then you can die with a clean liver for someone else to truly use
