eat nothing but "bunny food" and think we nibble on carrots all day? My diet is more varied and interesting than most people that I know. I cook alot of exoctic ethnic foods, and my daughters lunchbox is often the topic of the day-the principal comes by to see what interesting foods she has. Her friends LOVE to eat dinner at my house. So many people criticize us for being vegetarian. We don't like meat, want meat, or need meat. We get all of the vitamins. protien and minerals we need from whole grains, vegetables and fruits. We are healthy and thriving. Why does vegetarianism seam like such a big mystery and "hippie" thing. It just a lifestyle, nothing more

i tried to make pupusas and i can't seem to get the dough right. i used corn flour, lard and water but the dough was impossible to fold over, it kept cracking because corn flour has no gluten or elasticity. i tried adding more and more water but it just wouldn't work. i had 2cups of flour 2tbls lard and lots of water. anyone know what im doing wrong? and please keep solutions as authentic as possible.

thanks

I am vegetarian, and ate a pop-tart this morning. It was 'cookies and cream' flavor, and it seemed to have something that looked a bit like marshmallow in the center. I have heard that vegetarians can't eat marshmallows because they contain gelatin, which is made from animal fat. If anyone knows the ingredients, or has a box of them lying around their house they can read off to me, I'd very much appreciate to know the ingredients. Thanks!

I recently posted a topic about a bad experience I had at a restaurant involving a vegan who spit on my food because I ordered a lobster. I was at the restaurant with my family, I was rewarding my kids for a job well done in their home studies. My wife home schools our kids.

To make a long story short, I posted about the experience on Yahoo! and a poster by the name of panicfan4peace replied with "...was it worth torturing and killing an animal by boiling it alive just so you could feed your fat face".

In summary, "panicfan4peace" supported the actions of this waiter who spit in my food.

The question I have is this. Is it right for people to support these hate crimes carried out by vegans?

I have been researching genetically modified foods for the past few days, and had no idea about them before now. I recently read that 90 percent of SOY consumed in the US, has been so extensively modified that it can no longer even be considered soy. Originally, it was modifed with a gene made from pesticide to make it resistant to the pesticide sprayed on. Then, it was further modified with wheat and corn, making it toxic for people allergic to wheat or corn. Then, it was modified with SCORPION VENOM to make it more resistant to pests. This is happening with corn, wheat, cabbage, and other veggies. If this practice continues, what will the future hold for our children? Will they be able to obtain fruits, veggies, and grains in their natural form? I find it disturbing and wanted some outside input. I have an open mind, and am willing to consider all opinions. Maybe I just need some perspecti
