Which is healthier healthy cereal or oatmeal? I really havent tried oatmeal because I think it smells gross, but now they are making some pretty good flavors and I think Im going to replace my cereal eating with oatmeal. What do you think?

I think it's great that you're willing to try oatmeal. I literally just finished a mug of instant oatmeal at my desk, so I obviously like it.

Oatmeal is a whole grain which is very good for you, and it does keep the cholesterol in a good place, so it is healthy. Cold cereals are also quite healthy, too.

I eat a lot of both. I prefer oatmeal when it's cold. I also like the fact that instant oatmeal is portable and easy to make. Nuke some water in a mug or get some from the hot water spigot on the coffeemaker at work, dump in a packet, and stir.

Besides convenience, instant oatmeal does come in a lot of flavors (which do change the smell!). I like to mix 1 packet of Apples and Cinnamon with 1 packet of Cinnamon Spice.

It's worth a try. If you don't like it, you can always go back to cold cereal.

I love oatmeal! I like to put a little Splenda & Cinnamon on it. Very yummy and so good for you. I like cereal, but I'm trying to eat healthier these days and cereal just has too much sugar and additives. Try your oatmeal with your favorite fruit added in. Like strawberries or peaches or apples. Just experiment around to find out what you like best. It really only takes about 3-5 minutes to cook the rolled oats, but instant is OK too if you're in a pinch or on the go!

Oatmeal is much healthier than (most) cereal. A: There is no milk. Milk if it's not skim has calories, sugar, fat etc. B: It's entirely made of, well, oatmeal. Popular cereals are constantly filled with a variety of preservatives, which is never as healthy for you as the good old fashioned real thing.

I think that is a great idea because oatmeal is healthy and so is cereal but i think oatmeal still comes out as the all time best! Try all different falvors of oatmeal so you can find out the right flavor for you!

I prefer oatmeal over cereal actually, but people all think i'm crazy when I tell them that. I like brown suger and cinnamon or mixed berries quaker instant oatmeal.. Just mix it with some hot water out of the coffee maker in the morning and you got yourself some breakfast.

I think oatmeal is healthy for you but Cereal is better than any oatmeal.

I love oatmeal over cereal especially in the winter.My favorite is the kind that you cook and I also like to make oatmeal cookies.Yummy!

I prefer oatmeal over cereal. I feel full longer and don't feel the need to eat a mid-morning snack.

i think i like cereal because it has a crunch to it...but i'd eat oatmeal if there wasn't any cereal and the health really depends on the brands but genrally oatmeal and cereal are bpth healthy.
