I recently just found out what gelatin is. So now I will not eat anything with gelatin in it. I accidentally just ate a bunch of conversation hearts that I later found out had gelatin in them. Does this ever happen to you?Does it make you feel? I feel really bad. Because I am new to the whole not eating gelatin thing, how can I remember to always check labels before I eat something?

I've got to buy the ingredients to make mimosas for a brunch tomorrow. I think something around 20 people are going. If you assume that 15 of the 20 will have at least one glass or more then how much do I need to buy?

I know I need orange juice, but what kind, with or without pulp?

I know I need champagne, but what brand? Since I have to buy a lot please recommend a cheap brand. I've been to Vegas where they serve mimosas at brunch, I'm sure that was cheap stuff since they have to make so many of them.

How is it served best? With ice or without? Half juice /half champagne? or more champagne?

Thanks everyone.

My wife and daugher are vegetarians and we recently heard from someone that smoke flavoring was made from a byproduct of cooking animal fat/meat. This of course would make smoke flavoring non-vegetarian.

Does anyone know how smoke flavoring is made?

At my church on 28 January 2007, during/just-after the "Feast of Hecate," they had fresh roasted garlic, which spread smoothly like butter. I just wonder what temp is ideal for roasting garlic; since my cloves came out rather crunchy, I must've done something wrong!!! Also, which rack of the oven is the most ideal?

ok I made a nice Beef Roast for Supper last night in the Crock Pot, after supper i had to leave, my husband was told to remove the inner Crock and place the meat in the Ref, upon my return home after like 8 hours later, I find the Crock still out with the meat inside but unplugged, I placed it in the Ref right away, but would it be still ok to use like in a homemade soup, or should i just throw it out!..........Thanks

After it was cooked my wife put it in the microwave so the cat wouldn't get it. When I found it the next morning, I wrapped the plate in foil and refridgerated it. If it's heated up to 180 degrees for a few minutes, will it still be good to eat?
