After it was cooked my wife put it in the microwave so the cat wouldn't get it. When I found it the next morning, I wrapped the plate in foil and refridgerated it. If it's heated up to 180 degrees for a few minutes, will it still be good to eat?

Nobody has answered the real question here. If it is heated to over 180 degrees for several minutes, will it still be good to eat?

At that temperature it should kill any bacteria that grew in the 12 hour period.

There are too many germ freaks lol... ever watched Along Came Polly? These CRAZY germ people need to eat food off the street ASAP... lol...it will build your immune system! In the old days kings used to build their immunity to poisons by ingesting a little poison each day to avoid assassination by poisoning. This is why over protective parents have kids that are so anti social & allergic to the sun!! Let them fall off of the last step or skin their knee or eat a worm...it will be much more helpful to them in the long run!!

everyone says no, but why throw out good food.

yes, as long as it was throughly cooked the first time, it should be good.

I like left over chicken myself. I keep in micorwave all day, actually to keep it warm. Then refridgerate that night.

Eat the next morning, cold sometimes.

No, it's not still good to eat. Throw it out!!

Cooked food should not sit between 40F and 140F for longer than 2 hours. That is a breeding ground for bacteria!!

the safety zone for chicken or ANY meat being at room temp. is 2 hours.

take it from someone who has had food poisoning from chicken!

THROW IT OUT!!

if you eat it, you will know what it means to want to die.

i would say it's just fine if it was cooked all the way through, wouldn't wait much longer though.
