I am not a fan of hunting and not into meat very much, however, husband came home with some deer meat (about 3 lbs) he was given as a gift which he felt awkward refusing. He has been warned of future "gifts".

I feel it would disrespect the life the animal gave to just chuck it away.

Not sure what to do with it. Hamburgers and are not the answer. Appreciate your suggestions. Any good recipes?

The future mother-in-law is giving them a lot of flak, but I think it's cool that they're standing on principle.

...and I don't mean 'add water to Smash'!
I generally boil my potatoes for about twenty minutes until they are so soft that they fall apart at the slightest prick with a fork, then drain them, add a knob of butter and then mash them for about two to three minutes until the now mashed potato is smooth and fluffy.
My nan on the other hand swears by boiling the potatoes for only five minutes and adding pepper and mayonnaise to the mix...yuk!

It doesn't seem to be working- I've seasoned and baked, yet food sticks and is impossible to remove, so I end up washing and re-seasoning. What am I doing wrong?

What the Heck! I thought I was being healthy getting only 100% whole wheat bread. I have been reading food labels lately and on my bread it is listed about the third ingredient down. Does all bread have this it it? I was shocked! Am I just getting the wrong kind of bread?

I am making a recipe for turtle cheesecake that asks for vanilla wafer cookies. Which ones are they asking for? Are these the long wafer cookies that are usually available in 3 flavors (chocolate, vanilla & strawberry), or are these the round wafer cookies?

I ended up using the long ones, will the recipe still turn out?
