Midget Gems! The ones where the black ones are liquorice. Yum. I remember re-finding them about 10 years ago and I broke a tooth on one and had to have it removed. The dentist didn't remove all of the bone and I ended up nearly bleeding to death over the course of 24 hours.
Never felt quite the same about them, since!

Dunno but I hated rhubarb and custard. The sherbert lemon or strawberries gave me ulcers on the roof of my mouth and my dad use to have to "de-choke" me on a regular basis after eating those round apple (size of a marble) sweets.Mind you our 1960/70 sweets were a millin times better than they are today because they were all BIGGER>.
