i make sure i add plenty of cream and sugar to mine.

You need a good coffee and a good coffee maker. Me, I put milk and sugar in mine. Not too sweet, but enough to cut the bitterness of the coffee. I also like various flavored coffee.

small cup with hot coffee and no sugar
we say "good coffee you drink it hot, bitter and in two sips"
