I am looking for a recipe for hard candy. You can flavor it with any kind of flavors (mint, lemon, licorice, strawberry ect) and it has powder sugar that is coated on the top of the candy. You pour it in a cookie sheet and break it when cooled. I cannot seem to find one. Anyone have it?

What wine with a mustard, ginger rubbed leg of lamb?

One of my favorite recipes for lamb! But what to serve with it. I'll most likely find a Savigaun Blanc since my mother only likes white and doesn't care about compatibility....but I want to find a proper red to go with a robust flavored lamb (by the way you have to try this recipe, Julie Childs French cooking). We'll serve new potatoes roasted with butter and parsley, string beans and a side dish of gingered cranberry, another fav. So...full bodied red? Something more subtle? I'm inclined to French wines or other foreign wines, honestly don't like many domestic ones. Thanks for your input! X-mas day is so close hope everyone is in the spirits!

Cooked or uncooked ??

I am making stuffed bell peppers tody but one question remained in my mind as I was stuffing them do you have to cook the rice or any of the ingredients in order to stuff them or put the raw uncooked items inside the bell peppers without cooking in any of it ?? Any help will be well appreciatted

What is a new holiday appetizer I can wow my guests with on Christmas Eve?

First it was Skyline dip, then Reuben dip, then pizza dip and last year it was buffalo chicken dip. Anything new and exciting, preferably not cheese-based, that I can serve and knock the socks off my guests? We do a heavy appetizer Christmas Eve spread. Thanks!
