My boss has invited us to her place for a wine tasting party? What would be an appropriate gift for us to bring, if any? Taking a bottle of wine does not seem to be a good fit on this occasion, since I am expecting my boss will have already selected the wines she wants to serve.

I am trying to make some fried rice, probably with jasmine rice, but I don't want to wait to use it until tomorrow. I know Jasmine rice usually takes equal parts water and rice, so can I just use less water when I cook it and make the fried rice with it right away? If yes, how much water should I use for how much rice. I have long grain and sticky rice too, so if you know how I could do it with those, please tell me, just specify the type of rice. Thanks :)

Any suggestions on how to make a loaf of bread last to its maximum shelf life? I'm a single guy and usually end up with a bag of mold long before I can reasonably consume it.

I used to until one year me and my brother wanted to stay up late and see Santa, but only found my parents wrapping gifts and eating the cookies, after that I stopped believing in Santa plus we didn't have a chimney back then so that woulda meant Santa breaking and entering, and instead of robbing you, leaving you things, which is pretty creepy! So who wants to share?

My friend eats meats from a farm thats not mass produced, steriod infested meat, that is killed humanely. Is she a vegetarian?

As well, my other firend eats fish and chicken. Can she still be classified as one?

And as for me, I don't eat meat period and I feel a little chated knowing that my efforts are going to waste when these so called 'vegetarians' are calling themselves that when they eat meat.

But, if they do it some types of meats, but not all, are they still somewhat of a vegetarian?

Thanks!

I'm a new vegan and I'm prepared to do my first animal product free grocery shopping this Sunday. This may seem outlandish but is there a online resource /list that differentiates between ingredients are vegan friendly and what are not?

Additionally:

1. Does anyone suggest a good vitamin supplement I could take (for b12 vitamin d, anything else I'm missing?

2. How can I know what sugar is not refined with cane sugar and what is not? (American Citizen)

ANYTHING is appreciated. Thanks!

No matter what, when i make noodles they stick together. I cook the exact way they are supposed to.

I coook, drain, then 5 minutes later, they are stick together in a big clump.

This should be simple, right?

Are the Deli employees trained to ALWAYS give more than a "pound"--so that the price goes up a little over the pound price. If I wanted 1.06 pounds, I'd ask for it. I think that it's nationwide-regardless of where I go, if I ask for a pound, I never just get a "pound" of lunch meat or cheese

I have developed a new fair food and am looking for some guidance in the field. I have done a handful of events with outragous success and can see that I will need some help. I have been accepted in every venue that I have applied for with waiting lists for years and I cannot keep up with quantity. Im making them by hand for now but am looking into having them produced at a factory, possibily frozen and boxed and to my suprise they seem to be as excited as I am about producing them at thier factory.Am I moving to fast? I am in over my head and need some guidance.

Recently I saw a new recipe book by Pillsbury and I wanted to go get and it wasn't there. It was recipes for appetizers and deserts. For this season. They have a recipe that I would so much like to have. It is called Blueberry Pudding Pie. I they said you can top it off with whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon. That is all I know but if you have the book and have the recipe can you please share it with me!! It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I just made up a recipe, and thought about getting a patent on it. But I want to make sure that I'm not copying off of anyone else. Even though I haven't seeing or heard of anyone doing this recipe. And how do I go about getting it patent, if it's original?

Don't you hate it when you pour out the powdered hot chocolate or cocoa mix onto your hot water, and it just sits there on top? And even when you use your spoon to force it under, it pops right back up and looks just as dry as before you dunked it. Why does it do that? I looked at the ingredients and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Any ideas?
