I am trying to make some fried rice, probably with jasmine rice, but I don't want to wait to use it until tomorrow. I know Jasmine rice usually takes equal parts water and rice, so can I just use less water when I cook it and make the fried rice with it right away? If yes, how much water should I use for how much rice. I have long grain and sticky rice too, so if you know how I could do it with those, please tell me, just specify the type of rice. Thanks :)

Fried rice is better when in the fridge, but it is not necessary. Long grain is appropriate. The reason is the same as why old rice is better. You don't want the rice too sticky. It would help if you don't add as much water, but the amount varies do to atmoshperic condition. when I make fried rice, I never wait. I only use day old rice to use up left over rice, which was why it was invented. Sticking it in the fridge as long as you can will help dry it up.

Don't bother using jasmine as the delicate flavors will be lost in the fried rice ingredients, especially soy sauce.
Use long grain rice and cook per directions ( 1 cup rice to 1 1/2 cups water).
Cool on sheet pan in fridge for 30 mins.
Then add to fry pan with veggies. I usually make with any spare pork, bacon, chicken or any combination of meat.

Ack not that way!
Make the rice like usual and then put a small portion in a fry pan and add some soy sauce and oil and stir the rice until it browns a bit maybe 3 or 4 minuts tops. That would be the fastest way to make fried rice.

Soak rice in baking soda for 45 minutes to soften it. Then rice it.. You now have home made minute rice cook it anyway you like! 1cup rice to 2 1/4 cups water! I prefer cooking rice in a wok.. let the wok get hot to boiling point with water in it of course. then add rice..cover turn off and wait a couple minutes and the hot water will cook the rice perfect rice every time! If U wish U can fry the rice afterwards with mushrooms. celery, bean sprouts or whatever!
You know what that last suggestion makes is Chop suey! Some add meat to it but that's not in true chop suey!
