Whenever you drain noodles or pasta of any kind, add immediately some fat - either one or two ss of butter or of oil... toss.
Also, never never never overcook pasta - it is bound to stick. It is safe to undercook by at least a couple of min from the times indicated on the boxes - I find in the US cooking times for pasta are overstated always.
I don't like adding oil in the pot: first, it means washing through the pot - otherwise a good rinse is fine - second, it gives the pasta an off taste...

I'm with 'marlene g' on this one - oil in the water does not work, the oil floats to the surface of the water.
Shake the colander while draining the noodles. If you're leaving the noodles in the colander for a time before using them, give them a good toss while rinsing and draining. Otherwise, like was mentioned earlier, toss the noodles with a little oil After draining.

Well the way I do it is, I put water in my pan, start heating up my water, add the oil then BEFORE I put the noodles in the water. Then once the water gets hot, I add my noodles and stir a little. This way the noodles drop down threw the oil when they are added to the water. Then once the noodles are done, pour the water off of them. There you have it......no sticking noodles!!

No matter what noodle, brand or what you add to the cooking water, noodles should not drain for 5 minutes. Quickly drain the noodles, get all the moisture out, don't rinse them, and quickly add to your sauce or dish.

If you dont mind adding oil to your boiling water, this might help. Ohterwise, right after draining, add a small amout of olive oil (any oil can work) or add a little of whatever sauce you are using with the pasta- just enough to coat the pasta when mixed.

The best brand you should use is Barrila. This noodles do not stick together after draining. I heard it from Martha Stewart, I tried them and it's true.

Forget about putting some oil in the pot while cooking, it don't work. You're not rinsing off your noodles, that's the problem.

Drain and then serve, never let noodle sit to air dry, you are guaranteed a sticky starchy mess

You should be putting a little oil in your boiling water as it cooks. That way it doesn't clump. Maybe your'e not using a big enough pot too. You may be making too much at one time.
