I'm looking for some good holiday treats but not the ordinary apple, cherry, pumpkin, blueberry, or pecan pie. I know how to make cookies, fudge, divinity, cakes, cobblers. I'm looking for something new and delicious that kids as well as adults will enjoy. Any suggestions? preferably recipes?

I am home alone tonight and I'm working in a big project that will take me till past midnight. I'm not a big alcohol drinker, but I do enjoy scotch whiskey once in a while. However, I'm feeling in the mood to try something new. What drinks do you enjoy drinking when you happen to be by yourself?

I know you can use graham crackers or vanilla wafers, both of with are thin and/or crispy cookies.

The cookie I was wondering about is thick and pretty soft in the middle. Could a cookie like that be used to make a crust similar to a graham cracker crust?

These marshmallows are the ones you find in hot cocoa mixes. I don't want the hot cocoa mix and the marshmallows. Just the marshmallows.

The only one I have tried is Monster-low carb version, and I love it. I was wondering if it was bad for you though, and if I shouldn't drink them.

I mean, who now remembers the good professor Brillat-Savarin, Escoffier, or even the humble Ms Beeton. The days when a banquet was served with soup then hors d'oeuvres, followed by an entree then a remove, finishing with a sweet et fromages, all accompanied by suitable and appropriate wines. To my mind these modern celebrity chefs just don't cut it- they lack the technique, flair, imagination and expertise. Currently reading M. Pellaprat 'Bible Culinaire' GR AH NN JO et al.. eat your heart out.. you know nothing!

I'd like to get an idea, if you would please. Also, you can add your own personal favorite (could be the most popular/not).
