A dash of bourbon can make any ordinary dish taste amazing. I add it to brownies, to red sauces, and to beef stew. Rum also works well in brownies. It's really good to add a shot of bourbon to a can of chicken broth, and poach apples and chicken breasts in it. Serve it with rice.

I have so many but here is one that really makes a difference when making a sweet potato pie add a little coconut extract to the filling. Everyone will wonder what it is that makes it better than other sweet potato pies.

I put a pinch of cinnamon in jarred pasta sauce. You can't taste the cinnamon and it makes it taste homemade.
