The cakes I've baked in the past are so dry and they don't taste as good as the store. I want to make a good one? Which brand?

What is your favorite non-traditional breakfast food?

Not like cereal, eggs, pop tarts, bacon, stuff like that. I'd rather have leftovers, cold pizza, or pasta. I'd rather have something that's not traditional.

Does anyone else do this?

I'm going to a costume party event this evening and I would like to bring my host and hostess something Halloween-ish. The party is a large event that is being catered with a DJ and bartender. I was thinking of bringing a Pumpkin and "dressing" it up with glitter and curling ribbons hanging from the stem. Is this an OK hostess gift or do you guys have any better ideas? Remember that the party is being catered so bringing a dish is out of the question.

My husband and I made pumpkin rolls last year. At the point where we spread the cream on the cake and went to roll it up, the cream went everywhere. It was so messy that we got discouraged and haven't tried to make pumpkin rolls since. It tasted really good, the cake consistency was great and the cream was yummy. What did we do wrong? Is there any way to make it neater? What do you do when you make those rolled up kinds of desserts to keep the cream or filling from going all over the place? Thanks in advance!

I vaguely remember a white chocolate covered chocolate bar in Canada in the late 70's. I think the inside had wafer and possibly some sort of sweet caramel goo.

I am making oat bread, and the recipe says to place in fridge overnight (spotted it too late in the process to stop) and then let rise next day? Do I have to do this? it is 11:43 am where I am and that's a long way away. Can't I just let it rise and bake it?

Thanks for your help.
