do a hawaiian theme. tell everyone to dress up for the theme, pass out leys at the door, serve fruity drinks with little paper umbrellas, order hawaiian pizza, rent 'blue crush' or '50 first dates' (both take place in hawaii). cheap decorations should be easy to find at any party supply store.
