I dont understand why some vegetarians eat chicken. But they wont eat other meat.

Chicken is a dead animal so u cannot be vegetarian.

My question is,.... Why is that?

My mum is a vegetarian she eats products from meat but not meat itself.

I live in a very cold house. Does anyone know where I can buy a wine warmer? Had one once, but it was a present. It was like one of those wine cooler sleeves, but you put it in boiling water, let it warm up and then slipped it over the bottle.

Note: I am becoming familiar with the Jewish custom of koshering meats. I find that this actually seems to tenderize these cuts of meat, for me. (Maybe, the main purpose of making meat kosher is to remove all of the porphyrins which are blood products found in red meats: being "red" for the obvious reason).

Whatever the reasons, I find that after i "kosher" the meat, it actually seems to cook up better. And, marinating the cuts that I buy has an added tenderizing effect: as does pounding the cuts and flattening them out, too...if no bone is involved, I mean.
So, I guess I see no real advantage to buying expensive tender cuts, when people can seem to make any cut quite tender, with the proper cooking skills and preparation.
What do you think?

I see that some "beef" breeders have cross-bred cattle with the American bison, and ended up with a "mixed breed" that is about 87.5% (7/8) of one and 12.5% (1/8) of the other. They claim a superior quality. In light of that, which would you choose? Or, what would it depend on, before you came to a certain conclusion, one way or the other?
(What would factor the heaviest, into your decision? Quality, taste, price, or nutritional value?)
