As you shake the cocktail the ice will melt in so diluting the vodka and mixing it with the water ,so it will be less harsh and icy cold drinks always taste more refreshing so I would have to say yes shaken is better if consumed while still cold..

Shaking the cocktail ensures the ingredients are fully mixed - evenly distributed. It also ensures that no bits of ice are left in the drink... this is especially important in a drink like a Martini, where it should NEVER be served over ice. Shaking also guarantees that the drink will not become watered down as the ice melts, since the liquid is strained into a glass, leaving all ice behind in the shaker. Always shake. Never stir. Also, a Martini is ALWAYS made with Gin. Vodka should never be present in a Martini... that's the only bad thing we ever got from James Bond... that and Timothy Dalton. Cheers!

Its tastes the same.

The ingredients are chilled, either by stirring or shaking, then strained and served "straight up" (without ice) in a chilled cocktail glass.

In the movies, James Bond was a strict vodka martini drinker who preferred his cocktail "shaken, not stirred." His fondness for vodka was accompanied by Smirnoff-brand vodka having the product placement rights in the films.

It's a matter of taste. I think so because it's much colder.
