Eggs ala SPLATT.

Need.
1 slice bread.
1 egg.
butter (oil, oleo, whatever you use for frying eggs. I'm going to call it butter).

Take a biscuit cutter and cut the center out of the bread. If you don't have a biscuit cutter, use the top of a drinking glass (careful, don't break the glass).

Toast the circle of bread taken from the hole.

Place butter in a frying pan. When melted add the outside piece of bread (it has the hole in the middle). After the bottom of the bread has toasted a few seconds, turn the bread over. Add a little more butter in the hole in the bread.

Break the egg open. Discard the shell. Take the egg and add it to the hole in the bread in the pan. After the bottom of the egg has cooked, turn egg/bread over to cook the other side. Serve with the toasted bread circles.

Repeat as needed. You can toast the bread circles all at once if you have a toaster oven.

Yum.

hey, im assuming you are from america right? Its funny, here in australia its allover the tv how bad american breakfasts and food is over there... but i didnt know if it was wholly true until i read some of your answers that were posted! Here we usually have cereal or toast for breakfast each day. Im pretty sure that about 90% of our country would have one of those things each morning... and maybe only bacon and eggs one day on the weekend or something. Its just interesting how many bad recipes people gave you. Not being rude or anything! Im not disagreeing with the recipes im sure they would be awesome, i just dont know how anyone could wake up and have that each morning i think i would feel sick!! LOL

A Healthy High Fibre Pan Cake.
I dunno if u'll like this one but I suppose u can try it out...

1/2 cup Cattail millet / Burgundy millet / Pearl millet flour instead of this flour u can use any other flour too but not the pastry flour.
for eg, rice, wheat, Ragi, CORN or any other millet.
1/2 cup quick cooking oats
1 medium sized onion (finely chopped)
1-2 green chilli (finely chopped adjust the spicyness as per ur need)
Salt to taste
1-2 tsp Sugar
Water
Olive Oil or any other edible oil regular one u usually use.

Method:

Combine the flour, oats, onion, green chillies, salt, sugar, water....make it into a thick paste like consistancy not too flowy and not too thick but medium consistancy.Taste the batter with ur finger tip to chk up on salt and spicy level adjust according to ur taste buds.

Heat a non stick frying pan ( or any frying pan available with u) which shud preferably be flat. apply oil say approximately 1 tsp or 2 tsp (if u want to go low on fat else u can use more oil too say upto 5 tsp too but if ur using oilve oil it's too good)...on it spreading it evenly just so much that it covers up the pan area... now ladle out the mixture on the pan evenly spreading it....in a round shape or watever shape u want to put the flame on a shimmer and cover up the pan. after 3 minutes lift the cover and flip the pancake on the other side cook both the sides till it's dark pinkish brown in colour. or maybe crispy just keep on testing u can increase the flame intensity too but don't let it burn.

Make use of oil liberally if u think u can have extra oil but I'd recommend olive oil :)

Newayz hope u like this one.

Banana-Stuffed French Toast

1 firm, ripe banana
3/4 cup half-and-half
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
4 (1-inch thick) slices day-old challah or brioche
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Confectioners' sugar for dusting
Warm maple syrup

Cut banana into 1/4-inch thick slices. In a bowl, whisk together half-and-half, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cut bread slices horizontally almost in half, leaving 1 edge intact. Stuff each pocket with 4 to 6 banana slices (do not overstuff). In a baking dish just large enough to hold bread slices in one layer, arrange slices and pour custard over them. Soak slices, turning them over once or twice to allow bread to absorb all liquid, about 15 minutes.

In a 12-inch non-stick skillet melt butter over low heat until foam subsides and cook slices until golden, about 5 minutes on each side.

Dust French toast with confectioners' sugar and serve with syrup.

Makes 2 servings.

Cream beef over hash browns.

Brown a half pound of ground beef. Add salt & pepper. When browned add 1/4 cup of flour, cook into hamburger and allow flour to carmelize alittle. Slowly add milk and stir it will immediately begin to thicken. Add and stir milk to your own consistency. Add more salt & pepper if neccessary. Serve over hashbrowns, eggs, or toast.

I like drinking smoothies and milkshakes in the morning. It gives me milk and fruit! Some of my person favourites are banana with cinnamon, strawberry, mango, or you can even combine the 3 together if you really feel like having fun! =) Happy cooking (and eating!)
