I went to convention with over 500 different energy drinks!
Personally I like Rock Star juiced guava and mango flavors with all the caffeine and sugar,
I hear Gatorade is actually better if your doing physical stuff but the energy drinks wake your butt up...

XS Energy Drinks deliver the energy you need to take on everything from a hard workout to a hard day at work. XS Energy Drinks have a low 0-2g of carbohydrates, no sugar, and only 8-16calories per can. A formula of B vitamins ( B3-100%, B5-100%, B6-300%, B12-4900% ) and key amino and folic acids helps to boost your mental and physical energy. And when it comes to taste, there's something for everyone - from the new favorite root beer flavor, boasting the taste of adventure and the spirit of entrepreneurship - to the tanginess of cherries and pomegranates, the zest of citrus, lemon and tropical fruits, to the flavorful burst of grapes and berries - plus the refreshing taste of non-carbonated green tea, and two great caffeine-free alternatives. All flavors are Kosher certified.

I like Red Bull, Bawls is a new one to me, but good and works! Rock Star is like getting an adrenaline shot in the chest and tastes similar to Red Bull..... I HATE MONSTER ENERGY DRINKS :-( The one I tried tasted like liquid Pez (more so than any others I've tried and liked) and I was unable to determine if it worked because of that. Sobe "Superman" tastes pretty good and works well also. If I'm really in a pinch, I go for about 5 Starbucks Doubleshots, coffee always tastes great and espresso ALWAYS wakes you up!!! Hope this helps!

energy drinks, like red bull, use sugar and caffeine to give your body a burst of energy. there is only one that i know of that uses only the b-vitamins for your body to produce energy without sugar, caffeine, carbs, or calories. that's xs energy drinks.

I, myself, do not know which is the best.
But, I do know that it is carbohydrates that give energy. That is why it perplexes me to hear about people extremely limiting their intake of carbs.
Complex carbohydrates are what the body needs! (Emphasizing the word "complex")
But, your "protein drinks" are for building muscle and in strength training. The "power drinks" (from cans of powdered supplements) have a large percentage of creatine, in them...
which (I believe) is an amino acid that helps to build muscle and prevent muscle fatigue--fatigue that results from the build-up of lactic acid, inside muscle, itself.
So, in a "round about way", those protein-rich, diet-supplement, powder-drink mixes prevent muscle fatigue, and thus contribute to an increase in one's stamina [and energy, indirectly], in that way.

Sugar is the best and fastest source of energy. Do you still believe that advertising is truth full?
