how to find out if sweet potatos are old? I can tell when regular 1's are old due to green colour, but sweet?

Look for soft spots, wrinkles, dried up ends. Sweet potatoes should be firm, hard, and uniformly colored.

When they are old they will bend - the same as old carrots - also they develop round white/grey/black spots.

They start to shrink and look limp. avoid the green ones they may have a poison in them.....
