I have been with my boyfriend for ten years. We talk about ring styles, where to have a wedding, and what baby names we agree on. We are both close with each others parents and have a healthy relationship. I have been calm and patient for the most part, but since I have turned 29, my life is moving fast and I want to start a different phases in my life. He has voiced he wants the same but he says he has not moves into the next phases because he says he is not able to support us financially. He does not have alot of money, but we are doing just fine with both of us bringing in money. He also says he does not want to grow up. Do you have any advice before I lose my patience.

So I'm getting married on 7/7/07, and I'm not having a reception or any of that.Instead I'm having 2 parties.A very nice dinner for my immediate family and then I'll party like a rockstar with all myfriends.Anyway what type of unique center piece can I use for the dinner? There will probably be around 45-50 people and I would like to have some nice centerpieces other than the usual wedding mints I've seen.Unique center pieces, fun, any ideas?

My fiancé and I are getting married April 28th and we have run into some unexpected financial expenses. To make a long story short, we are about $1,500 short of what we need for the wedding. We both go to school and work, so we can’t pick up extra jobs and we have tried to take out a couple personal loans, but both times we were denied. We have no family or friends that can help us with the money either, we have already asked. Without the $1,500 (which is for food and officant fees) there will pretty much be no wedding. We have no clue what to do. Does anyone have any financial advice ( loans for people with no so great credit, or loan alternatives) Absolutely any significant advice will be helpful, we are at the end of our ropes here.

My fiance and I don't want any kids under 15 at our wedding, except for the ringbearer and flower girl. How do we tell our guests this? Do we put it on the invitation? Or perhaps put a note in with the invitation?

I am getting married in May. As part of our celebration, we are inviting our guests to stand up an answer a question about the bride and/or groom which will make us kiss. I want to leave a few basic questions on each table.

Other than the obvious questions, (for example, "how long have the bride and groom been dating" or "what is the groom's favorite cookie") we are out of ideas. Please help me come up with some more questions!!

I'm getting married next year and I've been working on my guest list & have a problem. I've been at my place of employment for over 10 years & have known a few of them for just that long. I don't want to invite ALL of them..as I only associate w/a few of them outside of work. At the same time, i don't want to hurt anyone else's feelings if i don't invite them. truth is we only want to invite 125..but w/all the others from my office..it will be 150 too many. How do I do this w/out hurting anyone's feelings. The are all excited about me getting married. My fiance says that if i don't associate w/them outside of work...then i don't need to invite those people.

I want to know what you think of these centerpieces. I'm on a budget and trying to cut corners. I was thinking of getting these instead of fresh flowers. Can you let me know if you like them. I know they're simple but they're about 1/3 of the cost of real flowers.

just wondering. i asked my fiance, and his answer wasn't much help ("I don't know!!! why does it matter? you're wearing it!") i've been thinking more and more of making my dress myself, but if i do that, it won't as elaborate or fancy as the ones we've found and really liked. would a simple dress take your breath away when you first see her walk down the aisle, or would a fancy one? (yes i know , you'll be looking at her, not the dress, but she'd be wearing the dress, so you'd see that too!)

I do not want to sound like a "crazy mom" but I really need some help. My 25 year old son lives in another state. We have/had a great relationship. I divorced his dad when he was 3 so we were attached at the hip our entire life. He has been living with his girlfriend for 2 years now. My husband and I went to visit him last week to see his new home. Well his girlfriend avoided us the entire trip. When she came home from work she went into her bed room. We saw her for approx 4 hrs the entire week. Our last night there, she went to the bar after work and spent the night with "friends" she did not even say good bye to us. I do not know her well, but wanted to do a "spa" day or something fun for "just us girls" but this did not happen. My husband told me to keep my mouth shut. I could ruin my relationship with my son if I voice my opinion of this girl He will figure out in time that she is not the one. I would just like to say something to him. This is breaking my heat.

My fiance is adamant in his belief that registering for gifts is tacky. He says it's like demanding someone buy something for you. My mom wants me to register for a shower that her good friend is throwing for me. Can I just not register for gifts and let people know of things we need?

my best friend don't have yet the date for the wedding, but she has the colors choosen (aqua blue, brown with lilac and green and gold as accents for details) she is hoping for a fall wedding but i am clueless for flowers that will work under those colors, specially blue and i am trying to help her with this detail...
her wedding gown will be on the ivory golden color, and so far will be an outdoor ceremony with an indoors reception...as a note she lives in Puerto Rico, so living in the Caribbean is also important when choosing flowers...

Thank you ya'll for any suggestions...

Looking for a company with Roman Numerals in its' name (XVII or something) that does engagement/wedding photos. I think it might be based out of PA but I know they come to DC. Any help would be great!
