They're fun to look at but not the end of of wedding planning. A lot of the bridal magazines have website with the same exact content on it. Also, try going to a few bridal shows, they usually hand out bridal magazines at it!

Try

www.bride.com
www.brides.com
www.theknot.com
www.marthastewart.com (click on weddings)
www.weddingchannel.com

You should be able to get as many ideas from these places as you would a magazine!

No bridal magazines are the mist unhelpful source in the wedding industry. They are overly priced and every single issue has the same things in it. The only thing they are helpful with is your pre-planning like when your just scoping out ideas. Like dresses and if they have like the real weddings in them. Other than that I think they are a waste of time and money. I get Bridal Guide, Modern Bride, and Brides and all three of them have the same ads, the same pictures, the same designers, the same crappy stories. The all have very little informational articles. And I find that alot of the things in the magazines are for people with higher budgets. I used to get excited when I would get a new one in the mail but now I just thrown it on the coffee table and flip through it when I am bored. I suggest getting on weddingchannel.com and theknot.com. This is where I found everything. They have good articles and great pictures. And you can save everything you find and create a wedding website. Don't waste your money. Good Luck!

Bridal magazines help to a certain extent ... they can give you ideas for a lot of things, but in the end you're going to have to price everything out for yourself. You're best bet is to, if the budget allows, hire someone to design everything for you ... that way you won't need the magazines because most of the time, the best things come out of a designer's mind, not a magazine.

I found bridal magazines that focused on regional resources for weddings most beneficial. The other magazines were nice to look it for ideas for attire and also occasional had helpful articles, but I found the regional magazines very helpful for planning. The Knot and Modern Bride both had regional magazines for Michigan, I don't know if they have regional magazines in Canada.

I am egaged and have no set date. We don't even know the year we want to get married but I've bought two of those magazine's. I just like to look at what's out there and in those magazin's there are a lot of helpful hints for you to use in planning your wedding, reception, or/and honeymoon. I gives advice and things like that. So, I would recommend them.

I think they help quite a bit. I was able to get alot of good suggestions on money saving tips, ideas for decor and i was able to locate vendros i was interested in. I have also been able to find a lot of great resources in magazines on how to do things myself, like centerpices.

Save your money. First of all, all of those magazines are "designer" friendly....meaning you're not going to find a dress on your budget (unless this is paris hilton...lol).

Secondly, there is nothing in those magazines that you can't "google" and find on the internet for FREE!

I am not sure if it is worth to pay that much money on that but i do think it helps especially if you are blank on what kind of bridal dress or anything to wear.

They haven't really helped me much. They're fun to glace at when you're 1st starting to do your planning. I found the same info just by browsing the web - and the web is FREE!!!! The couple magazines that my mom bought for me had more advertisments than anyhthing.

I love them! And they helped me. If you don't want to spend the money, you can look at bridal products, articles, etc., online! Best Wishes!
