It sounds beautiful. Maybe have a silver theme with that too just to make the room sparkle. Fairy lights along the bridal table would look devine

I went to a wedding that was based on "phantom of the opera" we all came in masquerade ball gowns with masks and everything! The bride wore a stunning handmade creation under a complete white fur trimmed hooded cape. she walked with her head bowed until she reached her groom who was dressed as the phantom. He removed the hood just like you would a veil and she was breathtaking!.
I think the idea of a winter wedding theme is lovely I love winter! With the winter theme you can use icy tones :silver, ice blue, shimmering lilac, shimmering rose real pale hints of color with lots of shimmer. You could have a horse drawn carriage to arrive in. Hot cocoa and coffees instead of punch at the reception. Lots of snow flake decorations and icicles. Trimmed everywhere with fairie lights!
(not too sure about diamonds are a girls best friend it might end up looking cheesy.)

I love winter weddings, very elegant, think about the cost of clearing all that fake snow up though, it may be an added cost on to the venue hire.. I'm not a diamond lover though.
We haven't got a theme so much really, I struggled to settle on a colour theme, and think I have finally cracked it!! My dress is going to be peacock blue silk, tea length and the flowers will be cream roses. We are using feathers in a few places, like our invites are scrolls, tied with ribbon and under the bow we will fix a cream feather and a blue feather, and I'm wearing this stunning feather fascinator in my hair which is cream and blue coloured. So maybe my theme is feathers, and my colours are blue and cream.

I got married at the zoo. So I have a zoo theme. It was fun, the decorations were all different types of animals. I also was married before so that wedding was, "sun, moon and stars". I'm not trying to be mean, but if your personality warrants fake snow and diamonds, then go for it. If not, it'll be a bit much. All that other bling is going to take away from the bling on your finger.

I'm getting married in May '07 and since we're both from the country we decided on a country outdoor theme, red and white gingham checks, sunflowers, hay bales, old churns, washboards and some of my Mama's rooster collection. I'm using wide mouthed Mason jars filled partially with red gemstones with votive candles inside on the tables along with little terra cotta pots filled with red and white peppermint candies. There is an arbor in the yard that will be decorated with white tulle with red heart lights entwined inside along with ivy and sunflower garland swagged over it. Wedding favors will include fans for the guests to use and carry home and a wash tub full of bride and groom duckies floating around in it.

i got married in the winter time a week before Christmas and it was just sooo beautiful. there were Christmas trees up with lights, ponisettas, and candles on the pews instead of pew bows. for the reception the hall that the church had reserved for me already had a lot of Christmas stuff up there too, so i didn't have to decorate all that much. for my tables i did a miniature wreath with both a green and cream colored candle in the middle with green and red m&m's with candy canes too. for my cake i did a three boxed Christmas present. it turned out sooo cool looking b/c it was white and then i had black ribbon going for the bottom to the top and tied up with a lil bow. also, my colors for the wedding were red, black adn white.. :D it was sooo pretty.

Im getting married in an old adobe garden so we are having spanish elements...spanish tile painted with numbers for the tables numbers, the cake has mosaics painted on it and the colors are bold and vibrant.
I think the most important thing is to go with what you like but dont overkill on the theme idea. I think people get so wrapped up in themes and sometimes less is more...there is elegance in simplicity

i am getting married in August and my theme is romantic. I'm having red roses and double hearts in my scheme. My colors are claret (deep red ) with silver accents. The program has a red rose border. The reception tables have a silver table runner that will have roses sprinkled across it. Our wedding cake is white trimmed in red roses at the bottom of each layer. Our response cards have roses on them. I want everyone in a romantic mood.
