So I'm getting married on 7/7/07, and I'm not having a reception or any of that.Instead I'm having 2 parties.A very nice dinner for my immediate family and then I'll party like a rockstar with all myfriends.Anyway what type of unique center piece can I use for the dinner? There will probably be around 45-50 people and I would like to have some nice centerpieces other than the usual wedding mints I've seen.Unique center pieces, fun, any ideas?

well i found that fountains look nice also chocolate or liquid floating candels fish candy well becouse 4th of july was a few days before how about american flags or flags of other countrys all displayed around and if its that small of a reception you can put pictures of people like a grandpa or aunt that might have passed away an a little story about them on each table a tribute and people can find out other people they didnt meet...or pictures of each guest at the table.. or ask for baby pictures an frame them up an try to get someone from a diffrent table to match the baby pic of young picture of the person with the adult

How about a candy station which can double as a centerpiece for each table as well as a favor.
Have customized cello bags w/ a personalized sticker (your colors and date etc)
Then have 3 or 5 glass cylinders in varied heights in the middle of ea. table. Each cylinder can be filled w/ a different type of candy in colors that match your theme. Then a little scooper and people can help themselves. Fun!
Hope this helps! :D

Beta fish in little glass (or plastic) bowls that guests can take home. Dress them up with colored stones in the bottom.
