My best friend in the whole world is a guy. I am starting to like him as more though. We kissed last year, but them we never said anything else. I want to ask him out but aren't guys supposed to ask girl's out? Maybe I should just go in for a kiss and see what he says?! I am desperate and need help!

Here is the deal. I'm almost 36, been divorced over ten years. I can't imagine ever wanting to be married again. I have spoken with several close friends and they all say that I am crazy for even considering it, since I might "meet someone", blah blah blah. I always have safe sex, but an unplanned pregnancy is not something I want to deal with.

OK so I met this guy at the pub last Saturday, we danced for hours and ended up back at his motel room (he is on a working holiday in Aus). We didnt have sex just did everything but. We spoke for hours and fell asleep in each others arms. This weekend will be my last chance to see him, as he is continuing his travels. We have been sending msgs to each other a bit over the last couple of days (that are getting pretty hot!). Is it a slutty thing to do to have one last night of fun before he goes?

Also all the guys where I live are just a waist of space! This is only the second time I have picked up since I moved here 10 months ago! He is just so perfect, I know I can not have him forever because he has to go back to Wales, is there anything wrong with making the most of his company while he is here?

There is this guy that always makes a point to make sure that I know that he is not seeing anyone. We have dated before. So why does he keep telling me this? I don't discuss my dating life with him.

I found out today that my ex-boyfriend has been telling lies about me to his friend. He has been saying that we have a class together(when we don't) That I have a new boyfriend and have been rubbing it in his face(which i haven't) and saying that I called him a loser(which i have never done). I broke up with him at the end of june for lieing and some other things. What should i do? The person that told me all of this(one of his friends) said i shouldn't confront him, but i want to, but i also don't want to cause more conflict with my ex-boyfriend then i already have(we broke up on a bad note). Help me! What should I do??

That I will never measure up to someone's expections. I'm afraid to have a boyfriend because of what others will think. They'll probably say "Oh he is going out with that fat girl" and laugh and talk about me. I've never experienced having a boyfriend and having someone to like and hug/kiss while most by my age and grade have. I'm afraid of what others will think and if he will dump me. I know most of you will say that I need to have more self-confidence but sometimes I feel that I'm ugly and will grow up in this world all alone. I've pretty much been alone so far in my life, never really had any "real" friends in my life. What do I do????

well, the other day my friend commented a picture on myspace saying i was gorgeous. whenever i tell him something that happened regarding a guy, hes always like 'well your really hot and nice and stuff, i dont know why he wouldnt like you.' no guy has ever called me gorgeous before, so i dunno, i could really be over reacting, but do you think he likes me?
oh, also, ive never met him in person.[friend who lives cross country now introduced me to him online in march.]

We keep hearing the argument about how "they're going to do it anyway"(a cop-out). According to that logic ,there must be a positive side to teenagers having premarital sex. Otherwise why would anyone want to enable behaviors that can lead to unwanted pregnancies, STD's, emotional distress, rape convictions(sexual patners over 18 can be charged with rape, consensual sex or not),lack of focus on academics and overall preparation for adulthood, etc? Have we given up being responsible adults by neglecting to teach our kids some self ccontrol and respect for their bodies and self esteem?

To make it clear, I'm not a fundamentalist trying to force my beliefs on others. However, I am quite concerned with the consequences recreational teenage sex has had on our society. .
I have no objections against responsible, well balanced, accurate sex education being taught in schools.providing parents have the right to see the curriculum and opt their children out of the classes

A few months ago I met a man. He's 33, twice divorced and has 3 kids (8 and 11 yo and a 2 yr old - from 2 women), no college degree but he was a professional. Thats not all though, he has been in a very bad car accident and is currently on disability and not able to work. He spends most of his days with his young son and then with me. I on the other hand am 25, no significant relationships (not much experience?), no kids, college degree, good entry-level job. What i do have is an overbearing family (who are impossible and controlling), which basically is threatening to cut me off from the family if i dont break it off with him.
I think I am in love with him, not sure exactly what love is. He on the other hand told me he loved me after 2 weeks of seeing eachother. So the real question is, do i stay with him and risk losing my family or break it off, save my family but destroy him? What do you think?

he got mad at me for the way my friend treated me, even though she didnt do anything. he's mad im friends with her cuz he says she treats me like crap. we got into this big argument cuz i told him shes helped me through alot and he wouldnt believe me. finally he said im not talking to you. after me texting him for like 10 minutes, i said what do yu want me to say, and he said i hate _[my friend]_
love _[me]_
so i said okay love _me_ and he got mad. then i asked him what i ahd to do and he said give me the answers to homework, and i told him i couldnt go downstairs and get it or i'd be in trouble. he got all pissed off and wouldnt talk to me except to say goodbye. for the first time in like two weeks he didnt say goodnight...then this morning he text me and was like i need those answers and i told him i was late and couldnt...but then i had extra time and gave them to him, and then i said youre welcome and he said ya. what should i do??

I'm a college freshman so i'm pretty young. I have a rather full bust and sometimes i think that that is the only reason why guys even pay attention to me, I don't have very many. I always seem to get attention from guys who are way older then me like in their twenties or above and very little from guys my age and I'm tired of that. I hate wearing too revealing tops like tank tops and low-cut shirts bc I'm afraid I'm going to expose too much of myself to the wrong kinds of people, or the people I don't want to attract. Should i be so self-concious of myself or embrace what I have and just tell all the people I don't want attracted to me to back off?

Hear me out before judging: Isn't it (most of the time not all of the time) pathetic that people take their ex's back? I mean, there are only 2 reasons you would take someone back. 1)You lacked the intelligence to realize who you really loved. You let yourself get so caught up in everything that you foolishly threw someone away. 2) You are so lazy in a relationship that rather than work through something together, you dump them and take them back after you get over yourself.

I mean I realize sometimes people just need to grow and I am not talking about them. I mean, if you are careless enough to dump someone, remember you don't know if you could get them back down the road, shouldn't that person you dumped not want to be taken back?

If someone you loved didn't want to work things out or lacked the vision to realize that they want you, do you really want to marry them and trust them for the rest of your life? They dumped you once, maybe next time it will be worse...

I have been talking to this guy that I met online. He seems really nice, and I like him a lot. We've exchanged pictures, and phone numbers and talk quite often. How soon is too soon to meet in person?? We exchanged phone numbers only a week after email each other back and forth, and he is already talking about coming into my town (he lives about 35 mins away) and meeting up with me somewhere. What do you think? Is it too soon? Should we talk on the phone more?

I'm 5'11" and im 18. I hold my head hi when I walk and strut my stuff. I walk with confidence and i think it's to mask the fact that it makes me uncomfortabble when people stare @ me. I used to be selfconcious abotu my height, but i no longer am. I like really tall guys because I want someone to be able to hold me, but it seems that the tall guys i like, arent interested in tall girls. Also, ive noticed that black guys who are tall or short are interested in me, while tall white guys are not interested in me or dont show it. ALSO im not "ghetto" or anything so that cant be a reason for it. Could it be that Im intimidating b/c im black, or could it be that they dont like tall girls, or could it be that they prefer super skinny girls? (i have boobs and a butt and am not chubby but im definitely not skinny) How do i get a tall white guy whos interested? or should i make the first move? PLEASE HELP ME..I see some cute tall white guys at my college-how do i talk to them?
