do men get freaked out if they would see their woman reading a relationship guide to understanding men -- titled:

men, love, and sex: a complete user's guide for women

lol, i'm just wondering how men feel about their woman reading relationship books - would they rather just not know or it's no big deal....

It depends on who the author is . Some authors do try to have women exploit men .

Some are actualy giving good advice .

Usaly it is a blend of both but how much good advice vs exploiting men will be important .

One of the best things these books do is echo mens sentiments . Over and over i hear guys saying she wouldnt listen to me but then she read a book or talked to so and so and now she understands my point of view .(we are hurt that you didnt take to heart what we said in the first place but it is better that you learn from some book rather than not at all )

A good hint on what this book is all about is how it deals with mens motivations for there behavior . if it uses nonemeotional nonblame language it is a good book to understand men . If it describes why men behave the way they do in a schrill emotional context and it appears to blame men then it is a book that exploits men .

So if the author is Susan faludi i would be deaply suspicious

cammilabrightside, Some wouldn"t care while others may feel threatened that they are not doing somthing right ! Personaly if both people are open and honest I don"t see a need for outsiders in a marrige. Exept of course the holy trinity !

Why does a woman placed on makeup and look distinctly, to get the perfect attainable mate, Serously, if a guy with a brilliant beard crawled out of a swamp clutching a ineffective tiger could you mate with him, for sure now not you could mate with the nicely groomed guy interior the nook.

I would imagine it would depend if the man is a secure man, an insecure man, or a man who really does not want a relationship. But what do I know, I am a woman LOL

I wish my ex-gf had read that book! On the other hand, maybe she did read one of the books and that's what ruined our relationship!

Not a big deal, as long as she doesn't mind me reading my Superman comic book collection.

IT WOULD BE TIME BETTER INVESTED IN TALKING TO YOUR MALE FRIEND, RATHER READING A BOOK ABOUT GENERAL RELATIONSHIPS. JUST TAKE AN AFTERNOON AND TALK ABOUT ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING , YOU'LL BE SURPRISED AT HOW MUCH WILL COME FROM IT.

I wouldn't like it one little bit.

I look into my crystal ball and see.....

A) A long boring conversation in our future, or
B) A bunch of strange behavior based on the "advice" she had gotten.

Bottom line: If it ain't broke....don't break it.
