Singles & Dating - 12 September 2007

Ok, so this guy asked my girlfriend for a blow*** in a joking bitching manner. He was just trying to be an ***hole. So... I cussed him out and told him to meet me at this local gas station after school. Well, we went and I'm not going to lie, I basically got my *** beat. He walked up to me, threw a punch, I dodged, then I grabbed him by his neck (in a headlock) but he's a good 6-8 inches taller than me, so it wasn't a great idea. He then picked me up, we both fell to the ground, and he got up before me. He tried to get on top of me, but I held him off with my feet and grabbed both of his hands, then after that he was trying to get me to let go, so he grabbed my shirt and picked me up about a foot off of the ground and slammed me at least 2 or 3 times. Someone called the cops after that so we all left. Anyways, I feel really bad that I can't even stand up for my own girlfriend.. I've been dating her for 6 months and really love her. So yeah, I'm sure tomorrow at school...

I have been seeing this man for almost 2 months. We have spent an average of 4 days (and nights) each week together. When we are together, we have a WONDERFUL time! The sex is great, along with everything else. We have both been divorced and I met him on a dating site. I absolutely love being with him. It is almost as if I am addicted to him. Well, I just returned from spending 2 great days together; HOWEVER, I called him right after I got home to tell him about a company that was hiring and when he heard it was me, he said, "LEAVE ME ALONE!" and then hung up! I don't understand!! What did I do? Did I wear out my welcome at his house? If he didn't want to be with me anymoe, why didn't he tell me? He always had a problem with saying mushy stuff, but Geez! Does this man just need some space?? He is trying to take care of his two elderly parents and I know it is taking a toll on him. If I do not contact him, will he ever come to his senses and want to see me again??? Help me!

I just walked in on my roommate. he was on the bed cuddling with a girl. the thing is, this girl is one of my friend's girlfriend! i could've understood sitting up on the bed w/ their backs against the wall watching t.v. and found that acceptable. but no, they were underneath the blankets! and she was laying on his chest with his arm around her. I honestly believe if they start out with this it'll continue and go to the next level. what do you think?

My girlfriend went to this party tonight. I didn't go because i got in trouble like two months ago and haven't drank since. My girlfriend was really really drunk when i talked to her. Apparently there were other guys there too. I'm going to be so pissed if she did anything stupid. She also told me she would call me in five minutes and its been an hour. Should i be worried?

I love him to death! We've been through ups & downs & for about the past 2 yrs we've been great (he's 26 & I'm 23) . But since he is on his third year of being an architect he has been working long hours, like going to work at 7 a.m. & getting home at 9 p.m. - and really this bothers me because he told me "this is how it's going to be, and this is what I went to school for." Since we're just dating I want to show him that I'm understanding, but really I'm stuck. I want to give him an ultimatum and say, "either I understand with a ring on my left finger since I'm not going to be going through this ordeal of seeing you very little, or we break up because you're making work your number one priority without knowing if I'll have a future with you."
Is this harsh?
Also, I just need advice from those who have dated architects, engineers, etc, someone from a professional field and how did you deal with it?
He still lives with his parents so it's not like I can stay the night with him.

its been 1 yr since I started having an eating disorder..what was meant to only lose a few pounds has now consumed my life!

I been fighting it all day and I just got home from which I bought 2 double cheese burgers.large fries,3 choc.chip cookies from mc.donalds and 1jumbo popcorn chicken and large coke from sonic..all of which i just ate!

How do I stop this without telling everyone and everyone looking down on me..I am 24yr and im 126lbs..im only 5'0 :( any advice?

I am in college and I have one of those myspace thingys online. I started a convo with this guy cause I know his best friend and they were both going to the same college I was. After having a small convo with him he later makes a move and sends me a message and was like call me sometime. Of course I was like that is soo cheezy so I dont really pay much attention, but I didnt stop talking to him cause of that. After about 3 weeks I finally see this guy in person and it was kinda awkward meeting him because of his unespected move online. I realized that I may actually kinda like him after meeting him (im wierd I kno). Well one night I decided to actually call him just to get to kno him. We talked for like 15 min cause we were both tired.After that I saw him a couple more times and had small convos with him but nothing too exciting really happened. Is it ok if I keep calling him to get to know him more? Does he realize that I may actually like him? And how do I know if he still likes me?

My boyfriend(28) and I(23) have been dating for 5 months and he is so wonderful. We are very much in love and plan on getting married in the next 1.5 years. In everyway he is so good to me and everything I want in a man....

Today, he took me to the lake and said he needed to tell me something that he thought it was time I needed to know. He said he loved me so much and that is why he needed to tell me this. He said that he has 5 siblings and all of the have different fathers. He said that his mother was crazy when she was young and she wasn't the best mom. He said that his mom had an affair with a married man and that is how he was born. He was crying to me and had a lot of pain when he spoke.

Then he kept saying that know that he found love with me he appreciates it so much and he wants to have a real life and a normal life with me because of the bad memories of his parents.

How would you react? Would you love your bf/gf any less if he opened up to you like this?

I think not. I am not trying to be narrow minded here, but I think its the sad truth. Any attrative looking man, will want a beautiful athletic thin women. If you see any broad hansom looking man with a girl, 95% of the time that girl will be hot, and thin.

some people say that its only about personality, but its not ONLY personality, its about looks. Look at Brad pitt, he is a hansom looking guy, and does he have an obese girlfriend? No, he has angelina jolie.

When I see a not so attractive women, who may be fairly overweight, looks nerdy or looks a little odd, I see the women with a man, who fits her standards, as fat and unkept. Call me narrow minded but its true.

My question: Do the women that are not exactly the Attractive type think a man should only like them for their personality, or is there more?

my boyfriend told me he will not be able to call me this whole week cuz he has this MAJOR exam on sat (he said he will call once maybe and email a few times..he did the email but hasnt called yet)...I know that his exam is v.imp and that he has 2 jobs plus school along with this test but somehow i felt like he could take out 10 mins to call me....
i thought hes reluctant to call cuz i dont call him (im reluctant to call him and he calls 99% of the time)...i dont call him cuz whenever I do hes been busy studying with someone..but he has always talked or called back... yesterday i finally called him and we spoke for a few mins...
would a guy do that if he were so busy or does he not care enough about me???

I was watching the tyra show and she had this project with teens living in a little pretend town to see how they would respond to eachothers beliefs on religion sex race etc.
Then this one kid said ' I don't think sex is supposed to be for fun, I think God made it just to have babies its not supposed to be for fun'.

I completely disagree and say that this kid is completely wrong. Sex is supposed to feel good, obviously and God intended for us to feel pleasure in sex. Sex was-- installed in us as the ultimate expression of love for each other. When you get married the consumation of your relationship and love for each other is sex, it's the literal expression of how you feel for each other in that sexual relationship like no other type of relationship. It's one of the things that make you "one". Also sex is designed to create offspring as well otherwise sex would be just plain, cruel, and lucritive if it were just to have kids and thats it. thats why i disagree

Me and my female friend have been friends for about a year now I can we have become really good friends. We have hung out many times before. We two do like interested in eachother. So I asked her on a date and she said yes. She just wanted to let me know that she doesn't want to lead me on because she is also interested in two other guys that are her friends and she dated them before. She just wanted to make sure it didn't bug me that she was dating the other two guys. At least she was honest! So it was cool with me..guess I would call it casual dating I guess.
