I think not. I am not trying to be narrow minded here, but I think its the sad truth. Any attrative looking man, will want a beautiful athletic thin women. If you see any broad hansom looking man with a girl, 95% of the time that girl will be hot, and thin.
some people say that its only about personality, but its not ONLY personality, its about looks. Look at Brad pitt, he is a hansom looking guy, and does he have an obese girlfriend? No, he has angelina jolie.
When I see a not so attractive women, who may be fairly overweight, looks nerdy or looks a little odd, I see the women with a man, who fits her standards, as fat and unkept. Call me narrow minded but its true.
My question: Do the women that are not exactly the Attractive type think a man should only like them for their personality, or is there more?

Well sure alot of overweight, or not so attractive people have good personallities, but for attractive looking men, they won't aim to find the overweight good personallity, they will look for the "hot" one with a good personallity.

i think you will find that the face (for me anyway) is a reason to start talking --- its the personality that keeps you coming back --- and then with online relationships you dont generally see the face first --- its their conversation that brings you in --- and regardless of how other people view their appearence you will think they are beautful because you are looking at their mind

Who are you to judge people? Obsese people don't date other obese people because that's the only choice they have, it's because usually obese people have more stuff in common with other obese people, which plays a part on more than just looks, and plus not all obese people are with just obese people. It's true, very rarely do you actually see men act upon personality rather than looks. They both play a big role, because when you date someone your first impression should be by their appearence. There are men believe it or not, who are great looking guys and do look past the imperfections physically in woman.
Brad Pitt isn't with Angelina Jolie anymore, is he? I thought they divorced. Whatever, different topic. Besides, if you look at famous people theres porn stars who date 90 year old men, not for looks, or personality but for mula. It's sad to say what people really are all about.
