Singles & Dating - 3 July 2007

Make a long story short. She dumped me and dated someone right afterwards. She had severe depression, bulimia and low self-esteem. She has recently contacted me and says she misses me as a friend. Wants to hang out. I love her but I am also reluctant because I don't want to see her or have her talk about other guys. I want her back but only if she fixes herself. Which she seems to be doing. She sounds a lot better. My question is: With a person who has this many problems, what is the best way to go about things? Should I just be a friend? Would she gain attraction to me by me not pressuring her into something like a relationship? Should I tell her that her health is more important? But in the meantime look elsewhere? Or should I tell her its too hard to be friends. I am afraid she is going to date someone and I am going to be saddened and angry. Should I just be there as a friend?

My boyfriend and I have had some trouble lately. We talked today and We both said that we like each other but since we've had other issues we are taking some time to decide where exactly we are. Which, I don't know exactly what that means so if you know, please interpret. But he said that he still wants to hang out and stuff. Well, tomorrow he has to work from 12-4 and I asked what he was doing tomorrow after work and he said nothing and that he wasn't really into fireworks which I kinda knew. I was thinking about asking if he wanted to go out for dinner. That's something friends do, right? So it wouldn't be too weird if I asked him or what? What should I do?

Me and my 3 year bf just broke up...am not sure why to be completely honest there isn't a reason. I think he just needs time apart. Is this good? And we'll we ever get back? I love him, but I don't want to beg him back I already have once b4 and he would just get bothered by it and treated me bad.

well i moved out of my ex's house because i couldn't take the fact that we were broken up and stilling living together and he was talking to another chick......this chick he's talking he was talking to her when we were together.......he says that they weren't talking like that when we were together.....what you think? I'm trying to move on but it's so hard that was a 4 year relationship we broke up because he would cause me to get real aggressive with him when he made inappropriate comments to other women and trying to make me jealous......Should i just move on or fight for what i want????

Well I'm sort of in a difficult situation. And I would like some outsider views and perspectives. I know it's a real personal thing to put online, but I feel like I need some other peoples advice other than my friends. Cause you're girlfriends first instinct is to always say, "Dump him!". Once done wrong by you, they give him the boot. Anyways, here's the story. I've been seeing this guy who I dated 8 years ago. He found me on myspace and we kinda rekindled. We are very comfortable with eachother and have such a nice time. Make eachother laugh and just enjoy eachothers company. But recently, he's been kind of weird. He's not much of an open talker. It's hard to get him to talk seriously. So he started a new job and works all the time. But yet he goes out and stays out late with his friends. His calling has dimmed down. I haven't seen him for a week. We haven't been intimate for 3. But he says everything is normal. And I'm nothing but honest with him. Ideas?

we go to college and are in a couple of clubs together. i think about her all the time and we say hi when we see each other on the way to class or in the dining hall. I wanna have sex with her, but I don't wanna "f" her. I'd rather make love (believe me, there's a difference) and when we get done we could cuddle. I saw her talking to a guy before school ended and i got really jealous. then I found out he's gay and i didn't care anymore. Whenever I see her my heart speeds up and I get really nervous. What should I do? Is it lust or love? I was planning on asking her out when school starts again. I didn't earlier because i didn't think it was fair to date her when she lives about 2 hours away and I have 2 jobs. I'm planning on asking her shortly after school starts and am terrified of it. Ive been with my boyfriend for 14 months and were both quite young but we decided it was time we had sex. but we talked about it first, discussing weather we were ready and even went to a chemist to discuss contreception..BUT when it came round to having sex..we couldnt do it!! =$ (It would be the first time for both of us - to have sex) We couldnt find where to put it. We dont know what the problem is.

A couple of days I ask about meeting this one guy that I had met over the internet. He is 20 and recently came back from Iraq. He is a father of 2 children from 2 different moms and from 1 night stand both. He says that he has change and all. So on Sunday we actually went out to the pool with my 4 year old and then we went to church and ended up at my house hanging out with my family and watching movies. When it was time for him to drive back to base,he asked me what was going to happen with us? I responded nothing. I told him that I was not interested in dating him because of the whole military issues and the restrictions he has. I also mention to him my last horrible relationships with military man. Well the problem is that he refuses to give up and in fact he called me this morning saying that he was at the mall buying me my b-day gift since I will be 24 on Sunday. I have offer my friendship, but he doesn't want that. Can any one help me puzzle this out PLEASE!

Alright I really really like this guy okay, I've liked him since May of 2006.
My friend told me that he liked me, and so I got excited, but then he asked out a different girl. He broke up with her to ask out a different girl, cheated on her, then broke up with her to continue dating the girl he was cheating on her with. Then he dumped that girl to ask out the first girl. He knows I like him, and we are really good friends, but if he liked me he would have told me, right? Should I give up on him, or should I continue to like him, clinging to the desperate hope that maybe he likes me back??

My brother tells my I am a racist because I don't date girls from other ethnic groups. I personally have nothing against interracial relationships, and in fact my father's parents are from different ethnicities. I consider it just as a matter of choice and taste. I, like any other human being, have the right to choose the type of girls I want to date.

Why can't I find my soulmate?

I need to find:

1) A man
2) a vegetarian
3) a musician - I'm a techno violinist
4) must love festivals, camping & live music
5) must make me laugh
6) must be a calming influence, but with a wicked streak
7) would hopefully be into Mother Nature as 'The First'!
8) Not a wimp or doormat
9) A big bloke, maybe into bikes too? Tattoos and piercings not a must but a treat!
10) Somebody who I could have copiuos amounts of beer with and then talk all night and watch the sun come up together!

I loved this girl when I was at school and she did used to send me signs cross the class like looking at me and she ask me out but everone told me she didn't love me and this guy went out with her and yeah I got very very Jealous and they made me watch them kissing each other and she come round my house try to sort it out with me but I was so so Jealous I was just playing up by acting like a kid and I was getting my own back on to them anyway they went to court with me which I won and that was the last time I saw her when she cry, when she cry deep down it hurted me to. 7 years last this past march we both walked each other way and her new posh boyfriend went inside of a shop and me and her was just looking at each other in the eyes and it hurted when he got hold off her hand and walked past me but has she walked past each other we couldn't keep our eyes of each other and we didn't give each other no black looks. how can I show her I have changed and that I have grown -up
