I'm forty -- five years old, and I've never been married . I feel insulted and offended that not one of the women I've known has wanted me to be her husband . Am I wrong for feeling this way ? If I shouldn't feel this way, why not ? Why is it wrong ? I don't have what it takes to be single . The single life is a big fat zero ! If Jimmy Jerk and Andy the Abuser won't let themselves be unattached, why should I ? I hate being single .

This is a rephrasing of a question asks a couple of minutes ago. Is this because she doesn't think I'm boyfriend material or is it that she just wants to have fun without having a relationship?

For the past week, my bf and I have been spending some time apart due to the fact that he "doesn't want to be in a relationship right now and that he needs his space". We still love and care for each other very much but he has some issues that he needs to work out. For about the past two weeks, we had no contact with each other. When asked why hadn't we talked and he said that he knew that I would try to persuade him to get back with me which isn't the case. I told him that if there's a possibility that we may get back together then it would only be right that we communicate with each other at least on a friendship level. He then said that if we do talk to each other on a friendship level, he's going to want to do things that friends don't do (and you know what that is). I know that it would burn him to know that I was sleeping with someone else just as I know it would burn me. Since we first talked about this, not once has he brought up sex but we communicate more.

HELP!!!!!

My boyfriend of 2 years dumped me, and about a month and a half after the breakup, I was hanging out with a friend of mine who had also been recently dumped, and we slept together. Neither of us is interested in a real relationship as we're both still in love with our ex's, but it was nice to comfort each other.

A week after I slept with the guy, I saw my ex, and while I wasn't planning on it happening, we had sex. He still doesn't want to get back together, but he's not interested in anyone else, and I'm pretty sure he'd be upset if he knew that I had slept with someone else. He broke up with me because, while he still likes me, he wasn't in love with me, and he moved away. There is a chance that we might get together eventually - I know that he just has a hard time letting people get close to him.

Should I tell him about the guy I slept with, or is he better off not knowing?

Whenever I'm with my girlfriend, every chance I get (most of which she doesn't know about) I try and smell her hair. There is no fruity or perfumy smell to it, It's rather natural, but that's the smell I love. Does that make me some sort of loser that I like to smell her hair? Does it mean I'm borderline stalker? If not, then what does it mean?

I really love my boyfriend, we have been together for 1 year now. I want us to stay together. When we first started dating, I knew that he would go to the bar sometimes, and go out with friends. It was ok. But now he works 7am - 3:30pm and he goes to the bar almost everyday when he gets off work. Also sometimes he has been staying out till 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning, (Even when he has to work that morning.) He says that it shouldn't be a problem because I am still at work until 5:00. Sometimes he still doesn't get home till about 6:00 or later. His little boy doesn't understand why his dad isn't at home, and I also just don't get it anymore. He pretty much has a family at home, and he doesn't act like it. I am not 21 years old yet (Only 19 years old), but seeing this all the time doesn't really make me want to drink. I feel like I am the one person that can change his ways, but HOW??? How can I talk to him about this problem? How can I make him understand this isn't right?

I remember when I was a teenager in the late 80's and the thought of kissing a girl I really liked was exciting. Getting to second or third base was considered sex back then. As young kids we didn't even contemplate the thought of actual intercourse, not because we didn't want to(my friends and I,) but because it was thought of as special and even sacred.

Wouldn't it be nice if today's teenagers could experience that same joy and simple naviety that we had, instead of the constant emphasis and pressure that kids are bombarded with everywhere they turn. And the smart ones don't have to buy what's being sold to them.

The 60's "if it feels good do it" mentality has set us back as a society and had done irreparable damage, the likes of which we've yet to fully experience.

I pray that type of innocence can come back one day, so that kids can appreciate the simple happiness that comes with kissing, holding hands and affectionate touching that doesn't always end up in the sack.

My girlfriend dumped me after 4 years. Her reasoning was that our relationship wasn't moving forward (she got her masters and had to move away and I was getting my prereq's for a masters programs that I'm still not sure if I want to do), my moods were too volatile and she didn't like living with me. While she was looking for a job and was under lots of stress and I was stressing about having to get all A's in college inorder to get into my desired grad school, we would get into fights, but then we would talk about them and everything would be fine. I think she lost attraction in me when I became depressed after quitting my first real job and then not making the grades needed to get into a grad school. Right now I miss her and I thought it would be a good idea for us to take some time apart, but she wanted to break up. I know that I will be that man she used to love in 6 months, but I don't know if I can handle her dating other guys right now.
