Alright I really really like this guy okay, I've liked him since May of 2006.
My friend told me that he liked me, and so I got excited, but then he asked out a different girl. He broke up with her to ask out a different girl, cheated on her, then broke up with her to continue dating the girl he was cheating on her with. Then he dumped that girl to ask out the first girl. He knows I like him, and we are really good friends, but if he liked me he would have told me, right? Should I give up on him, or should I continue to like him, clinging to the desperate hope that maybe he likes me back??

Actually I'm not really sure why I like him so much. He is really hot and really sweet and brave and funny and...*sigh*
he gives really really good hugs too... =)
But I've liked him for, like, ever, and I don't know how I'm supposed to give him up!

Why would you still like a guy who lies & cheats? (Lying & cheating go hand-in-hand) You should have "red warning lights!" going off!! Do you seriously believe a guy who does these things won't cheat on you too?
The real question you should be considering is why you are still attracted to somebody like this, even after you found these things out about him??
Knowing he did it even once should be enough to make you look some where else. But when the guy shows a pattern of breaking up, going out with someone new, cheating on the new girl with the first girl, then dumping the girl to go back to her, etc, etc, shows that this guy has issues. He obviously has problems making decisions and being happy/committed to one person.
It shows he is highly insecure and a good example of how he will eventually treat you. He'll hurt you just as easily as he hurt them. How would you feel to learn that there is never just 2 or 3 women that a guy like this has done this to. Give him 5 or 10 more years and see how many women he's done this too.
Why should it excite you to hear that a guy of this kind likes you? Surely that's not truly the kind of guy you really want/like. Is he good-looking or something? If that's the case, you better get over him quick and move on before you get hurt.
It's kinda like the saying "dog bites you once, shame on the dog, dog bites you twice, shame on YOU" i.e. If you already a dog bites for example, do you still reach your hand out to pet it? Some dogs look innocent & cute and cuddly, till you stick your hand out.
What's to looooooove about a guy who hurts women? do you find this particle kind of thing attractive? You seriously don't consider that to be good quality in guy you're interested in do you?, or do you just set that part of him aside and try to pretend it doesn't exist?
Your dignity and self worth is more important than whether or not a "guy" likes you or not. If THAT is what you base your esteem on, you got a whole lotta hurt coming.

First of all, why would you be interested in a guy that cheats on his girlfriend? That only opens you up for problems in the future. I wouldn't waste my time with a person like that.

Girl i think you need to stop liking him.Cant you see that he's a player i mean i know who you feel and you really wanna go otu with him but even tho he knows that u like him he didnt ask you out yet dont you think hes not interested in you??

look grl. if you want this guy, ur gonna have to play the trump card: JELAOUSY! if this guy is into u at all, then ur gonna hav to get out der in dat world and be flirtacious! make him LOOK! im not talking about putting a cute little smile on ur face as if hes doin u a favor. MAKE HIM LOOK! through ur hardest moves. if he likes u, he'll come directly. if not, then i suggest u only flirt wit guys u wouldnt mind flirting wit on a regular basis...

girl get the hell away from this guy... look at how he's treating all the other girls... why would you want to be with someone who doesn't care for the feelings of others? move on and find someone who knows how to treat a girl... good luck...

Try giving him subliminal messages, set up secret meetings and try notes, from "Anonymus" and or "Secret Lover".
Us guys like those sort of things. Especially when we have to Discover who it is that likes us. MY EXPERIENCE: Although i have to admit 2 days after the end of 6th grade a fat chick with a moustache called me and told me she loved me so it was kinda scary. Any ways you should tell him how you feel discreetly with secrets and unknown identities and such. =)

I think you ask him out, if he says no you should look elsewhere. Don't cling on for too long there are plenty of great guys out there who would love to be with you

Well you like him. I can't argue with that. But do you really want a guy like this for a boyfriend. It's unlikely he would change his behavior if he was with you. You're probably not special in that way.
