check the attitude at the door and don't be afraid to open up and be real. that's the ticket.

It's only a problem if you actually want to be in a relationship. Besides, you acknowledge self-centeredness as an excess in your life; this means you're aware that it's a problem. That's half the battle won right there. Try to get involved doing things for other people....some volunteer work perhaps. But don't make it so ambitious a venture that you'll quit from fatigue or from being discouraged when things get a little stressful. The more you focus on others, the less you'll focus on yourself...and that will help you see the connectivity between all people, and you'll put your genuine importance into a healthy perspective. Good luck on this journey of self-discovery.

If that's the way you are and you know it and you don't like it, then change it. However, I don't know to what degree you are self-centered or even if you are since you didn't provide any information.

Oh my. Really? Have you tried counseling, self-help books, talking to a trusted friend or parent?

So stop thinking about yourself so much~~ Put yourself in the other person's shoes what would they want you to do about your problem? Maybe you should try therapy!!!

That is who you are. But, if you every want to be happy you have to learn to not make it all about you.

Stay positive.
