Singles & Dating - 18 February 2007

I really like this girl, and I've done everything possible to let her know that I like her. I've bought flowers and sent them to her school on valentines day, When we did hang out I always paid for everything even paid for her friend when we went to lunch, rides, I bought her a shirt from her favorite store, I've driven her to school (i'm 18 and in college, she is 17 and in High School), I've done everything in my power to try and make her happy, but it feels as though no matter what I do, she only likes me as a friend nothing more. Its kind of depressing because I like her so much and I think she knows it to but she dosen't feel the same way, I can't stop thinking about her. What am I doing wrong??

My dance partner is obnoxiously sexy. He has a great smile, great body with the tall dark and handsome thing going on. We dance together almost everyday while practicing cha-cha, salsa, rumba, tango etc. So it’s all basically close and sensual. I’m pretty much oozing with lust. But my sexual desire for him needs to stop! It took a few weeks to come to my senses but I finally figured out this can’t be good. I HAVE A BOYFRIEND! I mean, I love my boyfriend; he’s the best man I’ve ever known. The sex is great but it’s so spaced out its ridiculous! (We have a long distance relationship so we see each other about every 2-5 weeks) When I do see him, it's like Disney Land... amazing! But between those weeks, I’m a lustful fool ...for my dance partner who I see everyday. How do I make myself desire only my boyfriend? Also, what is WRONG with me?!

The night before she was leaving, the last night that I thought I was going to see her, she goes to me and says will you please come tomorrow before I leave. I told her that I was coming. That night we had a really good last night and we had alot of fun. She told me to come again right before I left. Yesterday, the day she left, I was over there with her for about 2 and a half hours and when she left and I had to say good bye she hugged me and kissed me and said see you soon( I will be seeing her again in a few months) She only did that with me and not even her own cousins. What does this mean? We became really good friends, but do you think she wants to be more than that? We had a really good time together for the month she was here and got really close and we are going to leave it at that and I will see what happens when we meet up again in the summer.

If a 21 year old guy has been going out with his girlfriend for 4 months, what's cheating? Is it talking sweetly to another girl? Is it holding hands, kissing cheeks? Is it cuddling? Kissing on the lips? What if they get intimate, or is just if they uhh.. (this is a family site) get very intimate?

My boyfriend and I have been really good friends for about 5 years. We've been "together" for a year now and I just gave birth to our daughter in December. My bf had a problem with meth and promised to stop after she was born...he's done it twice since she was born. I've told him that we won't live with him if he continues. To make a long story short, whenever he's on his little trip, all he talks about is highschool and how he still fantasizes about these girls and he still tries to contact them and he thinks about them when he's with me. We have a lease at our place until May-so we can't leave til then. But I'm hurt that I'll never be that person he wants...He never outright said that until recently although I kind of figured from what he said, he felt that way. This situation is gonna be weird for my daughter. She'll need her dad in her life, but what if I don't? This is such a bad situation. I love my baby girl and I love him. What do I do-he won't change and can't move on with me?

I've been dating this woman for a few years, and we have a very good relationship. We both work hard and have promising professional careers. We essentially live together and are very close to each other. She knows almost everything about me except that I really, really like wearing footed pajamas at night when it's cold (yes, I know it sounds silly, but I'm serious). Although we sleep together, I only wear them when she's out of town. I've tried to give this up, but I like footed sleepers too much. Should I tell her, or just continue to keep silent about this?

Over the past month I noticed she didn't repsond to any of my messages sent to her on this online dating site. After realizing she might not be interested in me, I left a message with her on valentines day to say happy valentines and that i didn't get a message from her, wishing that i had a chance to chat with her, and that this would be the last message. I made this decision because i dont want to make her feel that i'm pestering her, there's no point, especially when this person isn't interested.
Two days after valentines day she replied me with her first message ever saying the below: "aww...that's so sweet. will you be my valentine? this year on valentine's day i just stayed at home and watched tv...hopefully in the near future i'll be watching tv with someone beside me :)

What does this message mean to you?

i broke up with my bf earlier today cos he just couldn't bring himself to tell me how he felt about me. I was always telling him how much i cared about him and hated things being so one-sided (i needed to feel secure and loved in the relationship). i told him over a week ago that if he couldn't find a way to express himself i was walking away from us. anyhow, nothing changed and so i did. today on the phone he was telling me how upset he was and asked if i'd come see him tomorrow night, i felt sorry for him and so i said yes. i'm just worried that he's going to start crying and tell me all the things i wanted to hear - but i really think its too late now, he had so many chances and only did something about it when i left him. how do i stand strong and stick to my decision if he starts crying and saying all the sweet things i've been dying to hear...?

My bf is living in my parents house because he is new to the area and still looking for a place of his own. We've had sex in my parents house, but now he says he feels bad and that it is disrespectful considering how much they're doing to help him. The problem is - we're both so busy when would we find time to have sex other places?

I don't like his decision, and keep going out to his room in the detatched guest house to have sex with him. Am i being inconsiderate? And what should we do?

but she doesnt want to be in a relationship right now,she subconciously flirts with every guy at school.She says she does that with her best friends without knowing.We have been really good friends for about 4 months. Well a guy in college that i really like was in a class with me last semester. He has a girlfriend, however since this semes. started he is now in two of my classes. Every day he sits right beside me, we make fun of each other and we're always playing aroud(he always marks in my notebook, he has even drwan a heart) . It's really hard to avoid him bcuz i have to see him everyday!!! what would u do? he always stares right into my eyes when speakin to me, and now when i bring a drink to class he always drinks from it. i try not to flirt with him but it seems as if he is always flirting. need help!!!??? hes a really smart guy an doesn't seem to be a dirt bag, we are both trying to get into the same med school....and want the same goals in life. Just not sure if he wants to be just friends. I really do like him alot and as the weeks go by i feel like our connection is growing stronger. i feel as if i'm falling for him.

We all know about upper hands in a romantic relationship...but how about a friendship? This girl and I get along great, and I really like her as a friend, but I always get the feeling that she's trying to get the "hand" in our friendship...it's really frustrating because it's a friendship...is she trying to go after something more?
