I've been dating this woman for a few years, and we have a very good relationship. We both work hard and have promising professional careers. We essentially live together and are very close to each other. She knows almost everything about me except that I really, really like wearing footed pajamas at night when it's cold (yes, I know it sounds silly, but I'm serious). Although we sleep together, I only wear them when she's out of town. I've tried to give this up, but I like footed sleepers too much. Should I tell her, or just continue to keep silent about this?

I see nothing wrong.
Tell her. If she likes you, she will accept you as you are.

Alternatively, if you are so uncomfortable telling her, suggest you wear bed socks meanwhile. Till one day you tell. Or change .
Wish you luck.

I dated someone with the same issue, and it didn't bother me at all...but I'm a bit of a freak. I would be cautious. Approach the subject in a vague way, like while surfing the net say you're looking for pajamas. Then say , "huh...did you know they make footed sleepers for adults? Man that sounds cozy"
See how she reacts. She may even buy you a pair for your birthday. If she seems cynical or judgmental about it, don't bring it up again. You may have to choose...the lady or the footies.

I think footed pajamas are really cute! I bet you feel like a teddy bear when you are wearing them(all cozy and warm and cuddly). Nothing wrong with footed pajamas, hunny! Just crawl in bed with her while you are wearing them, and cuddle up next to her and let her feel how sweet and teddy-bear-ish you are, she'll love it! Cheers

It took me a minute to wrap my mind around the seriousness of your question...At first I thought it was a joke. If you like footed PJ's just tell her. I mean yeah, it is outside the norm, but it isn't as if you want to sleep in HER panties or anything...Just tell her. When she gets over laughing hysterically, or giving you, the "you gotta be kidding" look, you can have a meaningful discussion. Who knows, she may have something she has been hiding from you as well, and it will open the door to a meaningful dialog. Good Luck...

Look be straight up and tell her about it. You obviously already have a great relationship. Just explain to her that you really like to wear them when it's cold and that you haven't told her b4 because you were afraid of what she might think (like you still being a boy in man's body) etc... She'll understand not criticize if she really cares for you...

Oh that's so funny. :) Why don't you just ask her if she minds? If you're so close and have been together so long, I'm sure she'll give you an honest answer. I mean, my goodness, honey, they're footed sleepers. It's not like you're having an affair! :)

Oh please! I think there are more issues out there to worry about in a relationship than whether your mate likes jammies with the feet in them.
She won't care.
Sweet dreams!

If she loves you she wouldn't care. If she does she's not worth your time! Good luck
