this is driving me crazy... my girlf friend of almost 2 years keeps our relationship a secret from ALL her friends, family and everyone we used to work with. (I used to work for the same comopany... not anymore tho). i have never met any of her friends. I met her mother once.. only becuase she come into work one day... and her father. i'm never included with her plains to do anything. weather its with friends or family. if we are not togheter and i text her, asking what she's upto? i get "none of ur business" or if i ask if she's coming over i get "i dont know will let you know" there is NO communacation what so ever. but i'm more interested to know why its a secret... i tried calling her all week and everytime she answerred the phone, she told me she was busy signing papers for a new car she was buying... then tonight i see her for a hour or so... and she's driving her old car still. hides her phone when she sleeps over! i'm 32 and she's 22 what should i do?

Why do women when they start dating someone they change who they are for that person. I know a few people and when ever they start dating someone new they acting different & pretend they like something that the person they are with likes. And never before did they give a damn about it. Why do they put on a show to impress someone? Don't you think in the end is the reasons for all the past relationships to fail, is because they couldn't be themselves and pretended to be someone they really weren't?

my partner and i have been together for 7 years and lived together for 5. we spend as much time together as we can and we still get butterflies when seeing each other after say a night apart. we both have lots of friends and love our jobs but their is just nobody that quite compares and we just want to do everything together. is that real love that everyone searches for or is it unhealthy? what are other peoples thoughts and experiences

What is love and how does it work (in marriage, dating, etc.)?

There are many different ways that people have looked at love over the years. For example:

Voltaire : Love is an intangible and indescribable thing.

Neitche(?) : Love is nothing more than a way for the species to procreate.

Modern Science: Love is a flood of neurochemical chemical cascades and neural pathways that form our feelings.

What is love, how does it work and how is it created or destroyed? And if one feels 'love' for another can he/she generate feelings in another who does not feel it?
Can love be implanted or removed from the system artificially (not by illegal drugs or illegal ways)?


Please explain your answers in respect to interpersonal/intrapersonal relationships and emotions of both parties. I thank you in advance for your insight.

To be honest, (even though it's mean) I hate babies and I would never go through the pain of having any. But for this one guy I have loved for a long time now, I actually would, even if I am super afraid of the pain of child birth (Yes I fear any type of pain) I just think he deserves to be a father and have a child with all of his amazing traits...that's how I feel.

im crying alot cause he had not called me and its been 5days , but i know its for the better we have been together for 5 years and he have not even put an engagement ring on my finger,the reason we broke up is cause we had an arguement about him not spending time with me i than told him to get out my house he than got extremely and put his hands on me i told my family about it now my dad wants tokill him but he is not that abusive person people are taking him to be which this was the first time he ever did this and his excuse about marrying me is that he wants to be finicially stable first can someone give me some advice do you think he is going to call my family says he is afraid and embrassed right so he is not going to call and this is the 4th time that we have broke in the 5 years we have been together and the first time that we broke up and he have not call me could he have someone else i love help me!!!!

The Lunch Aides in my child's school are blowing whistles and yelling at my child.There is this one lady that looks like the devil, and she plucks my childs ear, also, the other day, my child came home telling me that a security guard yelled at her and telling her to go to After-Care even though she was going home because she wasn't feeling well. The deal is that he just bought a new laptop and he could care less if a stranger walked in because he is always watching a movie and always wants silence. Should I report this?

This really happened. I was shopping w/my son (14) at Best Buy and the guy's zipper was open. My son told me and I said, I'll tell him (like a mom thing, cuz he was young) and my son had a fit. Recently someone lied to me right to my face! She now knows i know she was lying...i now feel i can't trust her again but then i'll prabably forget about it and trust her again. Should i get over it because life is too short, or let her know i can't trust her and always be weary of her?
Even after it was all out in the open, she still told me a few more lies!

im really confused cause i cant tell if this guy likes me or not, ive known him since 3rd grade and this year he's in my class and hes started acting all weird around me, for one we used to talk all the time and now he gets all shy around me unless i talk to him, second there was this one time that he my friend and i were all sitting together in class and we were jokeing around, and he waz kinda jokeing with me and then outta no where my friend goes to him "its not nice to tease the ones you looovvvveeeee" i didnt take it that seriously but he turned bright red and turned around in his seat...there are a few other examples but i cant remember them right now...wat does this mean???

mark has been divorced for over 5yrs but by the way his ex acts u would never know it.she is always trying to get info(always in a sneaky way) about us from my inlaws.for example we told marks 9yr old son we are "thinking" about having a baby.well he must have told his mom as she "ran" over to my inlaws to ask "if they knew about our new baby" but never asked us about it and she sees us all the time.if she is not trying to get info about us then she is bad mouthing us to anyone that will listen.the only "bad" thing mark ever did was divorce her and it was not for me.she just treated him like crap till he could not take it any more and left but left her everything house,car.money.the only reason we put up with it is because of thier son they share we don't want to put him in the middle.is this normal that she is so consumed/bitter with our life still after 5yrs?it started to ware on my nurves how can i deal with this?

There's this one guy i met my freshman year of college. i was studying for the psych midterm in the library and he asked to study with me. I've had a crush on him since then.
Since then wehnever he sees me we get into a conversation and we seem to have a lot of fun. Now I'm a senior and he's a 2nd year med student. he still goes to the same school. i now occassionally see him. I think I like him and I think I should tell him but I tremble when I want to tell him. How do I tell him? I think what held me back was that I occasionally saw a girl with him and I thought he was taken. My friends said that they don't think he's taken. How do i tell him?

The last time I told a guy I liked him, in high school, he freaked out and wouldn't dare to look at me or talk to me for a whole month.

Alright, so I am sixteen. This boy, who is 18 was intoduced to me by a family member and so we sort of decided to hang out. We went to the movies and then went back to his friends house till i had to be home. The next few days i talked to the guy, not in person but of the phone. Now he asks why I wait so long before I will have sex with a guy. He said that it shouldn't matter, and that he doesnt want me to make the same mistake he did, as in wait for a while for the one you love to be ready, and just do it before you loose them.
