My now boyfriend and I have been through a lot.... I was engaged to a guy i was sure i was gonna marry, but things just didnt work out because of distance. Soon after the problems started, I had decided not to tell anyone, my best friend told me that he had been in love wit me for about 2 yrs. I was stunned cause I had wanted to be wit him even be4 my fiance. I started dating another guy, one of my other good friends but things just werent working there either. Through my entire relationship my other best friend Adam was winning me over, he'd always say the sweetest things and would treat me like a first class princess. So i left my boyfriend to be wit Adam. Soone enough i wasnt able to see him much or even talk to him, being it was the holidays.... It just worried me that we had fought to be together so much and that suddenly my ex that i left to be wit Adam was showing me more affection and love than Adam was... Idk how to tell him but i need him to back or I might just leave him....

For me, it's their maturity and their sexy grey hair. There's more than that clearly, but those two things spring to my mind easily.

I'm not independent at all. I depend on my mom or dad for almost everything. It's a new year and I want to be independent and not depend on everyone but myself. Does anybody have any tips or advice on how I can do this and succeed?

Would you go to bed and leave your 13 or 14 year old up to go to bed whenever? Shouldn't these kids be in bed when parents are not up? You would have no idea what these kids could be doing! Need answers from Mothers'!! No, there is no trust in what is in these young minds!

My father was a severe alcoholic for 20 years or so. In the early nineties he detoxed and never touched a drop again. He started running and has complete four marathons. In 2001 he had an accident and it ruined his back. He ended up retiring and now for the past two years he has been on pain meds (vicodin) and drinking all the time. He is remarried to a very nice lady who married him when he was sober. She seems to be really "hands off" and wont stand up to him or confront him about his drinking. It is a problem because he can't just have one or two social drinks,,,he drinks all day sometimes. I think even though he is in pain from his back he should seek other forms of pain management besides pills because this contributes to his addictive personality. I really dont know what to do. He called me late last night all drunk, saying the same things over and over....I feel really sorry for him....has something like this happend to you?

How do you deal with finding out that someone you love has cancer....or is dieing.......or someone you love has passed away.....you have lost someone dear to you. The best friend you've had for years has moved away. Everyday things that give us grief. I would like to you how you deal with it.

Are all females naturally insecure? My current GF of 5 months always seems to want to look over my shoulder when I check my phone, email, myspace, etc. Nothing major or drastic, but she evens tells me that she is insecure. My cell phone once slipped out of my pocket while in her car.....she admitted to looking through the entire thing for phone calls, text messages, etc.

I have never cheated on her, in fact, I don't even have very many female friends for her to be worried about.

Based on previous experience/ relationships, I know that those who are insecure or accuse, are more than likely cheating on their partner....I've done it and had it done to me.

Any thoughts? Women: are you insecure...even if just a little bit?

I made a New Years resolution to stop talking to my ex. I just can't seem to call the phone company and change my number. That's all it'll take and he'll be out of my life forever. We have no children together, I gave him back all his possessions, there's nothing tying us together. I told him 2 months ago that I didn't want to talk to him & I'm changing my number. He told me I don't have to go through the hassle & he'd stop calling. The longest I've stopped talking to him was for almost 2 weeks. We could never get back together again. He lied to me, I don't trust him. But, when I need someone to talk to, he's always there. I was really sick 3 days ago. He talked to me alot on the phone, but when I asked him to bring me soup, he gave me every excuse why he couldn't come by. Yesterday he called asking to borrow $20 because he spent all his money partying New Years Eve. He couldn't bring me soup when I was too sick to even sit up! That's why I need to get him out of my life.

I don't think many people appreciate how hard it is to watch your husband deal with an ex who he has a daughter with. She's a pathological liar, and she uses his daughter to hurt him. Years ago, she did everything she could to keep him from seeing his daughter, who is 9 now. For about three years things were fine, but now I think she is ready to start back up again. The lying is unbelievable, even in court. She wants him to take parenting classes, which he will. He will do anything she asks. But I can't stand watching it. How do you do nothing while another woman messes with your husband's heart? What can I do to help?

I don't know if he likes me back, we talk in advisory sometimes. How do you know if he likes you and how can I not show that i like him. I don't know why but it is very obvious when I like a preson. I don't do things to them or stare at them but people just know.

I can tell my husband wants to be helpful. He does do the little bit he can figure out needs doing which usually isn't much, he takes out the garbage but I usually have to ask him. Is there any way I can teach him what needs to be done without him feeling like I'm nagging or complaining? When I was growing up my mother always told me I should "just know" what needed to be done by looking around and I had the hardest time with figuring that out until I got a lot older. Hubby is 29 and still doesn't "just know" what needs to be done. Is that just a guy thing, or can I somehow nicely teach him how to know what needs doing without hurting his feelings? I don't want to always just ask him to do specific things but maybe that is the only way. If I do that he may eventually know on his own, do you agree?
