Me and my wife came to Florida to spend new years we ended up getting car jacked at gun point last night. My wife was really upset all night. Aside fromthe normal trauma something like that would bring, she really takes this as a sign that this year will be bad. We had a really rough year and were looking forward to a new year, but now she seems to have lost all hope. What can I do to make her feel more optimistic about the New Year? If you were a woman what would cheer you up?

At the moment my partner and kids treat me like ****, my partner keeps telling me they'll be better of if I move out but my child benefit and tax credits are payed into his bank and I have no access to this so I have no money to live on until I start claiming Income Support and that takes time to come through. Since last question partner has been arrested for domestic violence but only got a caution. I don't really want to leave my daughter behind but I don't know how much more I can take, any advice.

My husband and I have been dating since I was 17 (I'm not 22) and we just celebrated out 2 year anniversary (Dec. 30). I want a baby but he does not want kids. What would you do if the man you loved more then anything didn't want kids?

Dose any one here feel they bite there nails way to much or just don't stop or cant.

My friend bits her nails tell they bleed and there are no nails left but dose not stop who else is like this ?

also a silly question but dose any one pick or bite there toe nails so they look like that are no nails left is this normal?

What life lessons did you learn this year that you will be taking with you into 2007?

I've learnt:
~ that sometimes its okay to cry.
~ that sometimes its better to let people in and risk being hurt than to never let anyone close to you.
~ that it isn't a weakness to admit when you need help.
~ to never to leave things unsaid. Always apologise - you might never get another chance. I hope he knows I'm sorry.

This is embarassing, but here goes. I live with my mother and father. I am 32 yrs old. I was in a car wreck 16 years ago. A life altering car wreck. I am now on disability. I have to get a job within a year because my disability is more than likely gonna end. I smoke reefer and failed a drug test. My parents took my car away. The drug test that I failed was for a job at Walgreens. I have a college degree, and that hinders me from finding a job because it is not a specialized degree. I have quit smoking pot for about a week and now am just waiting for another chance to get a job. My father is still angry and I wanna know what I should do?

me and Laura have decided that we would like to have our kids by the time she is 25, this will make me 26, we are both under 20 and I am wondering what peoples thoughts are as to getting married before having kids and if so how long should the time gap be between marriage and kids?? we have no issues financially so just looking for some advice please

I loved a girl and she also loved me. she got married last jan.she had to do it coz of our family problems and we both decided to be alteast freinds forever. she promised me lots of things when we were going around like i will never forget u and will always keep u in my heart and life.
Its almost an year now but she has hardly called me 5-6 times that too for 2-3 minutes. she used to call me 2-3 hours a day when she was not married.
I can undrestand this now that she is married she cant call daily or for long but i accept atleast few calls a month. m i expecting too much. atleast as a freind she can call me.. thats my thinking.
well all my frds says she is married now and she has moved on and i shud also but i cant do that to someone whom i loved so much n i still love her. i m not expecting much frm her just few calls a month..meeting once in a year as a freind. but she is not doing it.
wat do u think? she really ignoring me or she must have got genuine problems? wat shall i do?

Kay, So I'm 17 turning 18 this year, and my boyfriend is 20, will be 21 soon. I've been dating him(on and off) since I was 12. He has always been the love of my life, I couldn't picture my life without him. Of course we fight and argue every once in a while like every relationship. We are having a baby in March 07'. Right now I'm not exactly "allowed" to see him though we still sneak to be together. I still live with my parents so I take their opinion very highly, and I hate having to lie to them. But they can't stand him, never have been able to for their own reasons. How can I make them understand how much I love this boy? I don't want to have to wait until I turn 18(9months away) to be able to actually go out in public with him and not worry about someone seeing us.

Wlhat funny stories do you have about getting along with an engineer?
For example - I once sent my engineer out to buy yams. He asked me "what size?" - I said "any size." When he came back he had a little one, a big one, a huge one, and one with a very strange hook shape. "what's this I said. You said any size he replied. "Yes, but not every size," I responded. I had given him specs, but not complete specs as what i had wanted was Yams of one size, whichever size he choose.
