I have a friend whose husband is from another country. She disagreed about her husbands behaviour about talking about sex in front of my women friends whom he had just met. She says it's a European thing but I disagree. What do you think?

He wasn't discussing their sex life but he was talking about sex in general and issues relating to it. My friend felt uncomfortable so I brought it up with my married friend later. She got irritated and said that my friend is a prude. I just think it's not appropriate and trashy for small talk.

Are you Indian? If yes you may not agree with his view. In western culture sex is a open box and if both partners agree does not matter they do have sex with other women. Wife too may agree otherwise keep it secret.
If you are an Indian it is just a culture un match. Just leave in his own way or consult him and tell your view points. Talking only does not make any sin to anybody if both the side agrees

I think some people just have to talk about their "Accomplishments" so they can stroke their EGO and stess their realm of superiority.
She could test him, have older women over and see if the behavior is the same or differnt. If its the European thing the behavior will not change. Even in the presence of his mother and her's the behavior should be the same if it truly is a European thing, and his mother will understand this and not be surprised.

He is intrested in sex, but not with u, if he isn't using it at home, he is probably using it somewhere else. Unless he knows ur on a dating site and u have crushed him, and now he is loolking for reason to publicly blame u. Have u been on other dating sites before? Please forgive me if I am stating something false against ur character,i have no idea if infidelity has been in yalls past, just make sure u see every thing before u jump in the sac with sum one else . Ask him

Yes...that is not something you talk about in front of people! I would pull this guy aside and tell him that we do not do that here in the States!!! So what if it is an European thing...still does not make it right!!!

No. In my opinion, talk like that should be kept only in the privacy of the home. It should be strictly between the husband and wife involved in the discussion.

it is not appropriate to talk about your sex life in front of any one except the other person that is involved. Sex is a very private subject.

My husband says quiet things to me when we around other people and it annoys me, and he is saying them to me not to others.
I think that what happens in the bed room should stay there.
Being from a different culture can make things hard but it seems a bit odd to me.

It is very inappropriate and if he starts this kind of talk again, let him know you don't wish to engage in such discussions and change the subject.

I don't think its appropriate, especially with people he's just met. I also don't think it's a European thing. It's just his rude thing.
