Brace yourself!
Prepare for the worst but hope for the best. If the news isn't anywhere near as bad as your worst case scenario, then you can handle it.
Look on the bright side: at least she didn't book you on "The Jerry Springer Show" and say "I need to tell you something!"

WHY DO YOU HAVE TO THINK THE WORST RIGHT AWAY? If I did something at a party, I would not call my guy ASAP, IF some guy DID... I would call but still be a little afraid to tell ya for reasons...If she cheated, she would not tell you... if she was in trouble she would try to tell you.

The answer to that is like asking how long is a piece of string? Well, usually when someone says they have something to tell you it means its important enough to tell you face to face. I have used this phrase to begin a conversation with my husband to tell him of a happy occasion for us like being pregnant. I have also used it to begin a conversation to tell someone that our relationship was over. I don't have a crystal ball and I don't know the relationship you have with your girlfriend. Did she go to the party alone with your blessing? Is it girlfriends only? Maybe she was discussing how she really felt about you and has come to some cataclysmic decision like she can't live without you, but whatever it is you won't know until you face her and talk about it.
good luck with it.

She's probably going to tell you some bad news. Maybe she wants to break up with you because she probably found someone else at the party. If she does tell you that then confront her and tell her: "I thought you loved me, why would you want to leave me?" and ask her did you do something wrong to deserve such a punishment (for her having to leave you)

Ahh the classic...just wait till she tells you...never assume alright...cause there could be a million different things she could want to tell you okay so just wait....."i need to tell you something" and "we need to talk" things like that are hard to just assume what the other has too say, they are commonly hated in the english language..so like i said wait till she tells you because if you listen to someone on here who is just assuming what she is going to say is just going to get you all worried about something that could be absolutely nothing...good luck tho!

Anyone that starts with using the words "I need to tell you something" means that they are going to tell you something that you are not going to like hearing. Just sit down, shut up and listen.

cheated or break-up... if she's at a party and it's to break-up, she probably cheated also. Don't worry about women like this(if this is the situation). They're pretty low people and usually don't amount to much.

Best case scenario, someone got drunk and broke something and she found it funny. Worst case, something has happened to alter you relationship with her. Only way to find out is to ask her what needs to be told. Good luck man and I hope you two remain together.
