I mean. . . . How would you reasonably counter such cold logic from an anxious depressed loved one?

This just might be a cry for help!! Or at least needing to feel useful, and needed.Think quick, and be sincere!!!!! Name all the good, special talents/abilities that person can do/does,and let them know that a big part of your life would be empty without them/their smile...???? But please don't ever just think,"it's only talk they won't do anything."PLEASE DO SOMETHING!!!! Good Luck!Try not to leave that person alone for long, while they feel like that.

All life is precious and has an impact on others. If you were to die others would be affected. You might not think so but it is true. Family wouldn't be the same, friends wouldn't either. More over, for all you know there is someone who's own life will depend on you in the future either by some action that you take or a word said at the right time. It is easy to underestimate our impact on the world around us but a life simply lived can change a multitude of lives. If you didn't have your job right now who would be doing it? Would they do it as well? Would they interact with others in the same way? If you didn't live where you do now, who would live there? Would they be good neighbors or a serial killer? You get what I'm trying to say? Your simply being has an impact. Life is worth living.

Look at it from a different point
of view. That's rather selfish to
rob YOURSELF and those who
care about you a lifetime of each
other's company, lows, highs, fun,
anger, sadness, memories, love.
etc.
Believe me when I tell you you'll
destroy all those around you forever.

Look at it the way I did once. This may
not make sense at first but this got me
through some tough sheet.

My principle belief as it pertains to those things mentioned herein is simply. "The day I stop learning is the day I want to die." Think of a book as your life and every numbered page as a day in it. What you've already read is your past. As you read and the words gradually appear, that's your present. The pages after the one you're reading are nearly blank with the exception of a few sentences that are already written for you. The rest is your future for you to write. I don't know about you but I find myself with bated breath awaiting the arrival of the next page. There are so many things and so many ways to learn it's no wonder why our lives feel extremely full or extremely empty.

One last thing. I lost my mother when I was 25
because of cancer. I would give anything to have
her back to share my life with. And she didn't have
a choice. You do.

Happy New Year! ‹(°¿°)›

i'm not an impatient human being yet am wanting to hearken to at least something.. for it truly is clear that there is extra to be printed.. as such i am going to withhold my opinion.. for the way can each person critique unfinished project? I easily have really to assert that i got here upon it very troublesome hitting good from "Granddad change into" and that i have a feeling i understand the position this is going because i'm probably examining too a lot "between" the strains.. (-: nicely written (((Bri))) I shall look ahead to something happilly with baited breath. playstation .. i commend your respond to the responses you've had. it truly is a actual guy that could keep a civil tongue in his head even as all about you're dropping theirs (-:

I used to say the exact same thing.

It is nothing more than emotional blackmail to get what you want.

People who are serious about suicide don't talk about it.
They just do it. That's the hard part.

I have been feeling suicidal on and off... all my life since the age of 12. But I am still here. I came really close to it 5 years ago... but decided to give life another chance at the last minute.

I should have been dead 20 times over... but everytime I am at the bottom of the pit... something happen... and I crawl out of it. Even I cannot explain this... It is like someone up there does not want me to die. And I am not a religious person.

just because you may be depressed does not mean it is the end of the world. being depressed is a medical condition and there are medications you can be prescribed that will make you feel better. it could be the seratonin in your brain is being absorbed too fast and there is medication to slow that down. it can be caused by chemical imbalance. also some unknown physical condition that may be causing it without you knowing it.

depression is one of the biggest medical disorder in the u.s.a. and is starting to be in europe and in asia. stress and anxiety can cause depression. anything can make us depressed. it could be situation that are happening to us daily or anything that can trigger it in everyday life or something our physical bodies is producing and may be enducing the depression.

i cannot tell you not to be depressed because it is a symtom and it needs to be cured. if you have health insurance, go have it checked. tell the doctor what you feel, have him prescribe you something (prozac, paxil, zoloft, etc), recommend a therapist whom you can talk to and unload your thoughts and maybe have a physical since sometimes it is caused by physical conditions.

also, you can search online for anxiety and depression boards. there are hundreds of them. there are people just like you discussing their problems and it helps to find others who feel like you and understand how you feel.

i have been in the anxiety boards and have found it has helped me so so much knowing i am not alone and that there are so many people out there who feel just like i do and understand me.

Take care

I used to ask myself the very same question, day after day, year after year.
And after confiding in a very wise friend of mine, a retired psychologist, he recommended that I try and be more productive with my life, and to find something that I really WANT to do, because that will give my life worth and value.
And since that wonderful piece of advice, I haven't looked back. I have written two books, and am presently working on my third.
I no longer see the world as a negative place.

Well first of all if you didn't ask to be born or to be given life, then it's really not your own. If you believe in God and the Bible it is said that God gives life and only he takes it away, it's not our own to take. I have had friends come to me to tell me that they plan on killing themselves, I told all 3 of them the same.... "need my help to do it". If a person really wants to die then they'll do it, what's the reason for telling anyone... I'll tell you why... because they are wanting that person to talk them out of it and feel sorry for them and tell them that life is all good and people are all good..etc. I tell my friends, "if you're going to do something that stupid and kill yourself, don't tell me cuz I'll help you do it... but if you come to me needing help to get out of the hole you're in, then you came to the right guy."

Dear, U were born b'coz Jesus wanted u to be in this world. Unless Jesus wants u back, u don't have any right to go back.

Inspite of this truth, if u try to GO, u will be an unwelcomed guest there. Never do it. Take every step as a challenge, pray to God regularly and then i swear, u will begin to LOVE life.

Good Luck.
