Two sayings always come to mind regarding gossip:
"he who gossips to you, gossips about you"
"some people don't have much to say, but you have to listen to them a long time for them to say not much"
In short -- don't like gossip. Debate about something, share a personal experience if its appropriate, discuss interesting topics... but when it comes to another's life and personality, that is for them to share with others, its not for you to do.

I am pretty lucky. I have some pretty positive friends that do not gossip much. On the rare occasions we do, it is for a couple of reasons. Sometimes we gossip about someone to see if a feeling about another person is mutual. Other times, people gossip to bond or make conversation.
I have tried to stop gossiping for the most part. For example, I haven't told ANYONE that one of the women in the PTA is having a lesbian affair on her husband! Whew, I was dying to get that out! lol Happy New Year

I never gossip about other people but someone asked this question before and i accidently said I did. I said i gossip when I am angry with someone when they have pissed me of. I used the wrong word it has nothing to do with gossip. What i meant was when someone makes a cruel dig about me I say something back just the same to them. That is'nt gossiping thats just defending yourself. To answer your question No i dont gossip about people that is just for time wasters. I am soo busy most of the time that I never thank god see my friends who love to gossip the sad idiots.

I think everyone talks a lil crap once in a while. I dont do it about people that I know or spread vicious rumors or anything like that. I just sit and crack jokes about strangers or people on t.v. No harm intended at all. It just comes from boredom. If anyone says that they do not engage in any type of gossip then they are highly mistaken.

Because that is the nature of the human beast. I try not to gossip about things that may be hurtful but have to admit that I am guilty of such things as I believe we all are at sometime or other.

I don't gossip, or at least i try not too. Sometimes they ask me something and i have to answer. But i try not too.

No if i have a problem with someone i go stright to them. Better to let them know up front than behind their back.To much of he said she said gossip.

Umm Gossip?? Well if i talk about someone it is the truth......and i don't spread rumors.....And the reason i do is so my friends will know to.....
