Wow. I'm adoptode too, from China and I never will know if I have sisters and brothers, or what my real parents look like. I think that no matter how you look at it, you have grown up for 18 years away from them and have experienced things that they haven't that make you who you are now. If you decide to meet them and have a reunion of sorts, I wouldn't expect for everyone to match up perfectly and for you to like all of them. If the question of where you come from, who you really are and everything haunts you then I would go ahead and meet them. I think it's better to put it all behind you or start a few great relationships with some of your brothers and sisters. But put some distance between you and your decision, whatever happens I hope the best for you and that you don't get hurt.

My son in law is adopted, too. He has "kind of" looked for his parents. He has the tools to do it. I have encouraged him to find them if only for medical history, since he and my daughter want to have children. Wow. Eleven brothers and sisters. That's a huge family! There are pros and cons about finding your family; sometimes the parents don't want to be found and it could backfire. Other times, just the opposite and you might find you have a wonderful extended family. The choice is yours.

Adoption is very good and you had better find your brother and sisters because it will be very wonderful for the rest of your life

It's fine as long as the adoption is by two parents, including one decent male father and one decent female mother, who meet the qualifications.

Now that you're older, however, you might want to try to meet your brothers and sisters.
